United KingdomLovely location for my 60th Birthday. We were on an Island tour on our Royal Enfield motorbikes and we chose this location as the place to stay for my birthday. We had a lovely room overlooking the mangroves. Huge bed big shower. Mosquito plug in repellers and air conditioning. The staff were fabulous amazing chef- I had 2 lobster dishes which were heaven. We were given a complimentary arrival drink which was a lovely touch. Felt authentic and was relaxing

I could walk to Mahébourg right down to the Waterfront or take the bus to Blue Bay and be there in a couple of minutes. It was a long stay and I was on a buget so it worked so well for my diving. I loved having the pool to cool down in after my longer walks. Ajay was always available on Wapp with advice and assistance. He helped me out when other accomodation was cancelled and managed the property so that I could stay on in my flat for another month. Helping with an invoice to claim the stay from the company that let me down. Nothing that I ever asked was a problem. He and the amazing Housekeeper, Asha and the team, were ready 24/7 to deal with anything I needed. As a female, disabled solo traveller I felt extremely safe and supported. I will be back. The most friendly and helpful staff ever. They arranged for us transfer from and to the airport, a car, a trip to the neighboring island. The room was spacious and cosy. Its was cleaned every day. The location is literally by the ocean, which is perfect. There is a direct access to a beach with a good snorkelling conditions. The hotel provides beach towels and deckchairs. The reef near the hotel is amazing. There is also another beach good for swimming and sunbathing. There are restaurants nearby where you can have your lunch or dinner. There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. I relocated here for a day to stay closer to the airport, having come from Bel Ombre—a remarkably scenic area that is a must-visit for travellers. However, Bel Ombre has very few restaurants, most of which are expensive and widely scattered, making it challenging without private transport. Without a car, our experience was quite difficult—until we finally rented one. In contrast, Mahébourg is far more tourist-friendly, offering numerous dining options and a pleasant seaside setting all within walking distance. Nothing was lacking The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. We stayed for a day at the Shandri Beachcomber (bought a day pass) and the snorkeling from their beach was fantastic . Absolute amazing location but I wouldn't stay overnight there. Excellent location in an area that boasts greenery and nature at its best. Tamassa Bel Ombre is located next to two golf courses, a natural reserve and barely minutes away from other landmarks in Mauritius (south). Roads are safe - so it's easy to drive around but if you are after a complete relaxing holiday, venturing out of Tamassa is purely an extra then.
