The bed was comfortable, but I especially loved the pillows! There was airport pick up and drop off with the hotel's shared shuttle (though I was the only passenger both ways). The staff were friendly. Even though the Radisson Hotel has no gym, one gets access to the gym (and infinity pool) on the 8th floor of the Radisson Blu next door (3 or so minutes' walk away). Radisson's pool was also great to use. They had a jazz night at the main Tamboho restaurant, and the zebu steak was also nice. The waterfront where the Radisson and Radisson Blu hotels are, is a complex with residential houses and has a mall and food court, so you can get your shopping done, go to the cinema or try out the restaurants. I spent two days in Tana. The first day, I rested in my room, by the pool, got a massage and relaxed on the balcony at sunset. Then I chatted with the friendly staff at the bar until bedtime. Not many bars/restaurants to choose among. Some roads are not even asphalted yet. Most of properties look like prisons due to the barbed wire on the walls of houses. Antananarivo is what it is. Which is to say dirty, dusty, noisy and overcrowded. Lots of beggars. Traffic moves at speed of molasses when it’s moving at all - there are no traffic lights, some intersections have traffic cops but they appear to be ignored.
