An oasis of peace to recharge after long journeys. We appreciated the spaciousness of the room and bathroom, the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, always ready to resolve any issues, and especially the spa area: a very large, 1.30-meter-deep pool, a gym, a sauna, and a hammam.     We last minute changed our stay to this hotel on recommodation of our driver and he was so right. This place was absolutly amazing, the staff and the food were so nice. We also took a spa treatment what was perfect after a long road trip.

    Tana has certainly nice area’s, but the center is very crowded and dirty. Not the prettiest place we have been, although the Kings palace (north of Tana), queens palace, marche artisanal de la digue are worth visiting. We did not spent a lot of time in Tana, it was the beginning and end of our trip west and back with rental 4 wheel drive. Maybe next time …

    Not many bars/restaurants to choose among.

    Not many bars/restaurants to choose among. Some roads are not even asphalted yet. Most of properties look like prisons due to the barbed wire on the walls of houses. You are about 50 minutes driving far from the city centre, but close to Croc farm, worth a visit.

    I spent two days in Tana.

    I spent two days in Tana. The first day, I rested in my room, by the pool, got a massage and relaxed on the balcony at sunset. Then I chatted with the friendly staff at the bar until bedtime. On day two, I had a very good guide and driver who took me around the city. I'm so glad we visited the markets, and the Queen's Palace!
