It has a nice view of the sea (not the yachts) but it's a lovely view just as well. The service was absolutely superb and everyone really accommodating - Teodora, Dusan, Nadia (?), Andreas (?) and others went out of their way to address any question or request we had.
The breakfast concept was a bit surprising (a menu, not a buffet) but the selection is varied and guests can basically ask for what they wish to have if they don't find it on the menu. The room (apartment) was spacious, clean, with a large terrace and it was a true value for money. The hotel restaurant serves really delicious food and as heard from some guests, one of the best Bloody Marys. :-)
Another advantage of this hotel is only 18 rooms and therefore, a personal touch, which is rather unique.
On the roof there is a very nice spa area which offers great views (it's a very good facility per se) but poses some challenges that are described in 'what I did not like' section.
Definitely will be back!

Imagine waking up each morning in pristine, luxurious rooms, then being greeted by the attentive staff who whisk you away in golf carts to the hotel’s private boat, which transports you to a stunning, secluded beach. It’s a retreat of unparalleled serenity and beauty.
After just a few days, we extended our stay by an additional 4 nights. The primary reason was the extraordinary level of attention, service, and warmth we experienced—truly the finest we have ever encountered.
Even now, over a month since our visit, I recall Tijana and Maja with deep gratitude for their remarkable dedication and the way they made us feel completely at home Thanks to this unforgettable experience, every time I think of Lustica Bay or Montenegro, my heart is filled with a profound sense of warmth and joy. I cannot recommend a better place.

The cleanliness stood out as my room was spotless, and the common areas well-maintained. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home. I appreciated the kosher food options; the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. While the location is a bit farther from the Porto waterfront than I anticipated, it’s still manageable on foot, and the serene surroundings make up for it. The multiple buildings give the property a unique charm, though navigating between them can be slightly confusing at first.

My friend Sasa is a friendly and welcoming person. He told me about Tivat and gave recommendations for places to eat etc. There was also complimentary orange juice, coffee and tea. He told me to enjoy some coffee and juice on the balcony while he took care of my tourist tax. This made me feel welcome.
The room was newly renovated and clean.
There are shops and restaurants within walking distance and even the airport is accessible by walking if need be.

Tivat is a gorgeous town with the original town with few...
Tivat is a gorgeous town with the original town with few shops and bars/restaurants used by the locals. Porto Montenegro is a modern part of the town with lovely restaurants, designer shops and great facilities - still reasonable food and friendly staff. Tivat is a great base to explore the coastal resorts including Perast, Kotor, Budva etc.
Public transport is not great so would recommend hiring a car - plenty of parking everywhere (although do your research to find the better car parks in each town as there are some dodgy private car parks which we managed to avoid).

The town was a big disappointment — the beach feels like a construction site, with houses and villas built right up to the shoreline. No natural shade, lots of concrete, and sharp stones when entering the water. Restaurants are overpriced with bland food. The price–quality ratio is terrible, and I wouldn’t return.

I found the town itself not quite my vibe but the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. When I need to come back I will make sure to rent a car so I an explore more. The town is a great base for that with everything you need for convenience. Just not much to do in itself but great as a base to explore the region I think. I did find a nice ancient Roman path with ruins just walking distance from my accommodation. It wasn’t mentioned on google maps or in local signage. But that was special.

I recently spent a few days in Tivat, Montenegro, and honestly, I was surprised by how much I fell in love with this little coastal town. It’s small, calm, and effortlessly beautiful — the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you but still totally does.
The first thing that caught my eye was Porto Montenegro. It’s stunning — full of fancy yachts, chic restaurants, and designer shops, but somehow it doesn’t feel pretentious. I loved walking along the marina in the evenings, gelato in hand, watching the sun dip behind the mountains. It’s glamorous, sure, but also relaxed in that easy Mediterranean way.
One of my favorite days was spent at Plavi Horizonti Beach. The water there is ridiculously clear, and it’s shallow enough to just float around for hours. I also took a quick hike up Vrmac Hill, which gave me the most incredible views over the Bay of Kotor — definitely worth the effort!
What I really appreciated about Tivat was the balance. You can have a fancy dinner overlooking the marina one night, and the next, enjoy a quiet meal at a local restaurant where the seafood tastes like it came straight from the ocean (because it probably did). Agape (in Porto) was my absolute favourite. 1000/10.
Tivat might not be as famous as Kotor or Budva, but that’s part of its charm. It feels peaceful, safe, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, soak up some sun, and enjoy good food with even better views, Tivat is absolutely worth adding to your travel list.

A scenic place, some places for sightseeing and hiking are close or reachable by car or taxi. The place is not overcrowded and beaches less busy than in Tivat and Kotor. I would recommend to those willing to be outside the crowds.

It is a typical city on the Balcanian coast. The main big problem at the moment is a heavy traffic when you enter the city from the east or south east. You spend a lot of time there and if you go for attractions in the neighbourhood, you have to calculate with this, In fact, it is a waisting of time. The problem occured because the works on the road, but it is really a big delay and there is no police, nobody who regulates that
