Our room was comfortable with a couch and chair and small kitchen area with a table and chairs, and well stocked with amenities that we might have needed. We arrived later in the evening and were able to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant downstairs. In the morning the hotel breakfast buffet was wonderful with fresh eggs, bacon and sausages, croissants, meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereal, and delicious coffee. Podgorica is small and doesn’t feel like a capital.
Podgorica is small and doesn’t feel like a capital. It has lots of nice parks. There are a couple of art galleries, but they only host temporary exhibitions, so they were closed while the displays were being changed. The girl at the hotel told us that not many tourists come to Podgorica, as the seaside locations are more popular. Even so, we visited many places, enjoyed a really nice cake and coffee during the day, and had dinner at Pod Volat, which is an excellent restaurant. Podgorica does not get great reviews in the travel guides but we really enjoyed our day there. Very clean, very safe and very green. No great sites but lots of interest to see how people live. It's a really small village down the road.
It's a really small village down the road. Nice views but this is it, do not expect any attractions. It's basically a good spot to stay for the night while travelling in between different Montenegro localisation (for example if you're planning a boat trip over Skadarlake) Vranjina is a good 1-3 night stay for a cheap price with great local food (prices way better than in the nearby Virpazar).
