The hotel is amazing, the rooms are spacious and very nice. The environment is so nice - there are white rabbits running freely on the lawns around the pool. The staff, especially Sasini, did everything to make us feel special. There is washing machine in the kitchen area, which was really helpful.

It’s a good place to relax and chill. In the hotel, there are rabbits and it is especially cute how you can feed them. There also different animals like lizards and monkeys. In this hotel there is also a big pool, plenty of nature and delicious food and kind service. In every room there is an air conditioner and fan to keep comfortable temperature. Overall it is a great place to rest! If you want to go swim you have to walk or you can go by tuk tuk 🛺. The beach is clean and the water is warm, plus you can sometimes see turtles and crabs.

Uyana is exceptional. Janaka the manager is also exceptional. The landscaping is delightful. The premises are very very clean and Uyana is held to a high standard. Their is architectural merit in this retreat. As other reviewers have suggested however, it is Janaka that runs this operation beautifully. A very quietly spoken, discreet manager who appears to have gained a lot of experience along the way. He reminds me of the very best of staff in hotels in major cities. He makes things happen quietly. It appears as if everything is done with complete ease. I left my phone in a taxi after vacating Uyana. Janaka organised its retrieval. I was one of a few guests. Another guest during our stay lost her pack/wallet on a road locally. Janaka with all the quiet ease of a true professional retrieved everything very quietly. No fuss is made. If every visitor has a request outside of the norm it takes an experienced professional to keep everything running smoothly whilst keeping all the guests happy. Uyana Retreat has a real asset in their manager and he also appears to have pride in the very establishment that he is the face of. 5 stars.
