We were a family of 3 staying at il Frangipane and it was an excellent experience. The staff is fantastic and truly did everything they possibly could do to pamper us and help in any way possible. The location is great, in walking distance from Sigyria and when we needed transport the staff arranged it immedately. The meals were delicious and when taking it easy dipping in the nice, clean pool was perfect. Highly reccommrnded!

They are a new hotel i was maybe their 5 th guest. It is pretty close to sigriya. The hotel had great view of sigriya rock from its breakfast place. It had a warm pool which was great after the lions rock hike. Most importantly the stuffs were welcoming and always ready to help us with anything with a smile. Their fresh juices and breakfast sweets are to die for. One important thing since they are new so they dont accept credit card still so please carry LKR.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. It felt very luxurious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. The hotel Heritage in Anuradhapura was located in a very calm and serine environment facing the lake. The hotel premises was well maintained. The friendly service rendered by the hotel staff was beyond our expectations. Our room was clean tidy and spacious. Foods were very fresh and delicious. Mr.Hemantha, the FMB manager welcomed us to the restaurant in a great manner. The way he handled the restaurant staff in order to provide an effective service to the guests was admirable. The CEO, Mr.Sumith Wijesinghe was very friendly and supportive. We witnessed how he personally paid attention to guests by going round tables during meal times and speaking to them very cheerfully. Music at the lake side dinner was amazing. Highly appreciate the efficient service rendered by the hotel under the guidance and supervision of Mr.Wijesinghe. Highly recommend the Hotel Heritage. Hope to stay there again in our next visit to Anuradhapura.

The meals were excellent. There was good choice, and the chefs were very cooperative and made food as per your wish at the food stations. The buffet had good variety of local and Indian food as well. Beyond that the restaurant staff were so friendly and they made it feel that you are at home.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. It’s the perfect central base for exploring nearby highlights like Nuwara Eliya and other major sightseeing spots. The famous Kandy–Ella train ride is a wonderful experience with stunning views. Kandy Lake is lovely for an evening walk, and the local markets — especially the Sunday market — are absolutely worth visiting. The Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) is a must-see; try to go in the evening when it’s cooler and the atmosphere is even more peaceful. Overall, Kandy is a charming town that offers culture, scenery, and convenience all in one.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights in the end as we got to sigiriya late. This meant we ate dinner one night at the little hut which wass great, climbed the rock, then moved on to the habarana which was also interesting to wander and eat.

During my stay, the property owner made several inappropriate and judgmental comments about my affordability and my decision to share meals with my mother, who is disabled. His behaviour was rude and discriminatory. After I posted my review describing my disappointment, the owner contacted me directly on my personal mobile number using very abusive and offensive language. This message was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe.

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable! We loved visiting the Temple of the Tooth, strolling around the peaceful lake, and exploring the vibrant local markets. The botanical gardens were stunning, and everything was easy to reach from the train station. Great food, kind people, and beautiful scenery all around.

The weather is very calm.

The weather is very calm. Recommended time to start climb is 5.45 AM. So worthy to watch the surroundings from top of the Sigiriya. You can learn a lot about Sigiriya. You can get a guide if you want from the entrance.

We loved our Homestay chez Olivia .

We loved our Homestay chez Olivia . Lovely couple very hospitable and helpful. Hired bikes which was wonderful to go see all the Stupa sites etc. beautiful area & lovely garden. Birdlife was fabulous. Highly recommend
