I slept in the dorm room, so for me it was a hostel kind of situation, and I must honestly say that did not feel like a typical hostel in any moment. Everything is thought of like slippers for the bathroom, the bed is as comfortable as you can dream of and the host makes you feel extremely welcome. The location adds to that, lovely spot, right below the view point, so perfect for a short sunrise hike. Definitely recommend staying there, wish I could have stayed longer!

The hotel is in the middle of the tea plantation with an incredible view. The staff is super kind and always available for any requests. The amenities are gorgeous and refined in all details, surrounded by a very well maintained garden. Dinner available (but you need to reserve) and breakfast was excellent. This is an absolutely amazing place in Nuwara Eliya. Our room was with a huge view terrace. We were lucky that during the 3 days of our stay, the weather was sunny all the time and we managed to use this terrace to the maximum. Yoga at sunset, sunbathing at noon or contemplating the beautiful starry sky at night.. The views were really magnificent. The room itself also exceeded all expectations: the bed was so comfortable, and the wooden interior was very cozy. Also, all these fresh flowers, with which the owners carefully decorate everything.. We were impressed. Amazing host! He helped us in general on all issues. Especially with regard to transfers everywhere. They have the opportunity to organize a tuk-tuk at a real price, without extra charge. It is very valuable and convenient The food was simply incomparable, and there was just a huge amount of it! If there hadn't been so much hiking during our trip, we probably would have gained 2-3 kilos with all these fourth or fifth courses for dinner and a double dessert :))) But it's so delicious! I highly recommend taking dinners here, the homemade food is just a delight. I especially remember the ice cream :) The breakfasts were also wonderful and large. You won't stay hungry for sure)) I recommend it to everyone with absolute confidence!

A beautiful stay in every sense! The design is refined and full of old-world charm — from the furniture to the photographs that tell its story. The high tea with live music is simply amazing, and breakfast was equally impressive — especially the hopper. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive — Haroon from reception even got my favourite straw hat repaired and ironed within a couple of hours, bringing it back from complete ruin! I also enjoyed the well-equipped gym with great tips from the personal trainer, an outstanding full body massage, and a lovely selection of reasonably priced jewellery at the hotel shop. Truly exceptional service and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

All in all a great place with amazing rooms and a crew that is as good as it gets. To be honest I have no idea how they average a 8.5, when it should be atleast a 9.5. Hadique, Fahaz and Hassan are great at their job and give you a great experience there. We booked it again after our first stay and highly recommend this place!

Besides doing the incredibly beautiful hike to Adams Peak, you can hire a tuktuk driver to guide you to Morey's Waterfall. the best waterfall we got to hike to in Sri lanka, challenging 1 hour hike but you'll get to stroll thru lush tea plantations and walk along side Lake Morey.

If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local experience, NanuOya is a good town to visit. It’s very close to the main tourist town Nuwara Eliya (approx 9km away) and has buses heading there every 20mins. You can also get there by train. The locals are very helpful and kind. You get a few places to eat food like South Indian dishes and koththu and a few places to buy liquor from. There are two waterfalls and the larger, wider one located inside the Glassough tea estate is a place where you can bathe in on a sunny day. It’s a lovely little town surrounded by tea estates!

The location is off-the-beaten track a bit if that’s what you like. Personally coming from England I didn’t need to see Nuwara Elyia (little England), little point when I live in England! I enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere and in a peaceful environment before hitting the city of Kandy.

Wonderful place to stay and good place to explore. We went to Lover's Leap Waterfalls, Gregory lake, Sita Temple, Hanuman Temple, Labookellie Tea Centre, Ambewela Farms, Victoria Park, Hakgala Botanical Gardens and Grand Hotel.

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be...

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!

Hatton is the second largest city in Nuwara Eliya District has so many places to visit.The Adams peak is the most venerated place in the area.Many reserviors and watterfalls can see in this area.Seven virgin mountains,Sri pada Forest can be explored during the stay.

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.
