This property is perfect if you want to see Mt. Fuji. We had a mountain view room and we could see Mt.Fuji from our window. Very comfortable and clean and 2 minutes walk away from Mt. Fuji station. They also offer free basics like different teas, Japanese outlets, pajamas. Also they have a wonderful rooftop terrace from where you can directly see Mt.Fuji.

This hotel is almost perfect. Super friendly and help staffs. Free shuttle bus service. Top level service. A hot spring you can see Mt. Fuji. Perfect view with Mt. Fuji and the lake. I don’t know what more I can ask for from this hotel. I felt so happy when I was in that room. The view from the room is exactly the same as you can see from the website. I have to wake up at 0700 to take photos of Mt. Fuji under the morning sun.

Traditional Japanese inn (ryokan) serving buffet breakfast and kaiseki dinner. Premium rooms come with their own onsen. Otherwise, there are the excellent onsens at level 10 (10F) and level 1 (1F). The one at 10F boasts a glorious view of Mt Fuji. In the evening after dinner there was a nice taiko drum performance. There's a wine lounge at level 2 (2F) serving free snacks, wine and beer. Excellent and professional service by all staff members.

I think this may be my favourite hotel. The hotel & grounds are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the in-room private onsen was so amazing. Plus all the little touches made the experience so memorable - (mostly) refillable complimentary mini bar which had bottled beer, juice, and snacks, the scented volcanic rock and volcanic rock filtered water, the in-room fire that the staff can set up for you, and the filter coffee equipment, pajamas, and loungewear that is available! There is also complimentary free flow tiny canned beer, juice, and milk coffee from the public onsen, outdoor public fireplace that the staff can set up for you in the evenings, and the wi-fi is great. As a group of 7, we were provided the restaurant private room for every meal, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Truly had a magical experience at Fufu.

We booked this hotel for the view and it did not disappoint us that's why I'm giving this an excellent rating. The staff are very friendly. There are no dinner available so when we asked how we can get some dinner in the main area, they gave us a hand and lent their hotel car. When we were late to arrive, they also responded quickly and pick-up us in the train station.

Fujiyoshida offers beautiful views of Mt.

Fujiyoshida offers beautiful views of Mt. Fuji — on a clear day, you can see the mountain from almost anywhere in town. It’s very close to Mt. Fuji and other nearby attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. I actually prefer staying in Fujiyoshida over Kawaguchiko because it’s less crowded but just as convenient and scenic.

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.
