Definitely the best! From Entrance Elevators to Lobby? No words! We been staying at this hotel for more than 5x. What we loved about this hotel is the place is very convenient to others. If the weather is good you can see the Mt.Fuji from this Hotel. It was a good timing for us.

The loc is top notch, close to 2 station and bust stop, there's convenient store across the street. My sister accidentally break bottle of wine but they weren't accepting any money. There's clothing lines in your room. Overall super nice staff and room! Would recommend and rebook!

A solid and unexpectedly wonderful Ryokan hotel. The staff were completely on point and everything looks immaculately clean, modern, and well-kept. I was really blown away by the size of the room, probably the biggest I’ve seen in all of Japan! The Obachan who makes the onigiri is an absolute delight. The way she interacted with the young children was just so sweet and heartfelt! Ingredients listings on all the foods was also super helpful to avoid activating my shellfish allergy. Also - buffet carts?! Genius!

The room is traditional Japanese style, futons on the floor. But they prepared futons for us already so we didn't have to do it ourself. The room has plently of spaces, tea room, bedroom and little balcony that can be open to enjoy the bridge view. Normally onsen hotel with traditional style room might not have a shower room, but this place got one too! The surroundings is quiet and peaceful, I'm very impressed with this hotel and will definitely come back for more.

There are many activities to do like Karaoke, Table Tennis, Game Center, Body Massage and Foot massages etc. Room is spacious with nice veranda. There are a number of onsen to choose from. Outdoor onsen is great. Provision to reserve a private onsen is a good point. Good selection of food for the buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip. If you travel on to Takayama I recommend seeing the one tenth scale model of the shrine complex which is almost unbelievable in its detail and precision. Nikko is quite a sleepy town and many restaurants shut very early so I recommend making a reservation. The Nikko pass is worth purchasing, we enjoyed a day sightseeing on the local buses and trains. We had an outstanding dinner at Global Table, located on the Main Street in Nikko, well worth booking this for an unforgettable experience with Chef Ishida.

Nasu is well known and loved by Japanese people.

Nasu is well known and loved by Japanese people. The Emperor has a summer house here as it tends to be cooler in summer. It’s little known by westerners and therefore is not catered to westerners. Parts of Nasu are very beautiful and other parts are set up for families - eg the zoo and the Dairy farm. There are some lovely restaurants and places to visit here but you really need a car to do it.

The best thing about Nasushiobara is the hot springs.

The best thing about Nasushiobara is the hot springs. It has the Shiobara hot spring village, which has a rich spring quality and has been loved by royalty and literary masters. You can enjoy the traditional hot springs surrounded by nature in spite of the easy access from Tokyo on the Tohoku Shinkansen, which is just an hour away from Tokyo. Each hot spring in the city is different in scale and taste, but it is an adult resort where you can spend your luxurious time by soaking in the hot spring to your heart’s content.

Our trip to Nikko was nothing short of magical. The town is surrounded by some of the most beautiful forests and breathtaking waterfalls I’ve ever seen. Every corner feels like stepping into a postcard—lush, serene, and full of natural wonder. The town itself has such charm, with its cozy streets, warm hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. We stayed for three nights, which gave us time to explore, but we truly wish we had stayed longer. There’s so much more to see and experience, and the beauty of the area leaves you wanting to return.

The Nasu Kaido is a famous and really scenic road that goes from the lowlands of Nasu town all the way up to the Nasu mountains, and it's beautiful to drive up - if you have a car. The road is a two lane highway that (in Summer) is very busy and not intended for bicycle or pedestrian use when you get to the uphill portions of the road, so be sure to use a vehicle or public transportation if you want to go further up it. The public transportation options are present - you can take the Shinkansen to NasuShiobara Station, then take the bus to the Nasu Mountain Ropeway, then take the ropeway to the near top of one of the mountain peaks and hike from there. It's a good venture, though if you try it on the weekend, be sure to check when the last buses operate, or else you might have to take a taxi.
