I stayed at this hotel in Abashiri for two nights and had a great experience overall. The room was quite small, but that’s pretty standard for Japan, and it was arranged in a smart and comfortable way, so it didn’t bother us at all. What really stood out was the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing—especially the sashimi and other fresh seafood. Honestly, the quality of the food was impressive, something I’d normally expect from a high-end restaurant, not a hotel breakfast. Another highlight was the onsen. I used it every morning and evening. It’s located on the top floor, and the view over the Abashiri River and the coast made the experience extra special. Soaking in the hot bath while watching the scenery was just perfect, especially during winter. The location is also very convenient. It’s within walking distance to the train station, the bus terminal, and the port where you can take the icebreaker cruise. Everything you might need is nearby. I’d happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Abashiri!

This hotel was terrific for such a budget price, including breakfast. Easy, easy walk from the station, easy walk to lots of restaurants too. Smallish room but had everything we needed, clean & comfortable. Staff were very nice too.

The cleanliness and spacious room is exceptional good and by far biggest room. The hot spring is available throughout the night which is very helpful especially when one has entire day adventure to ease the tense muscles. The build in restaurant offers good value for money meals which help those who has no means of transport. The washer and dryer allows its patron usage helps tourist. Hotel next to Shari river. The entrance to the hotel gave us the impression of arriving in an enchanted house in the middle of the forest, it was beautiful! Moreover, we chose a Japanese style room and we slept like babies. The women's onsen was also perfect: several hot baths, a cold one to give us energy, a sauna and a magnificent outdoor bath which again gave us the feeling of bathing in the middle of the forest. Breakfast was amazing too. Lots of choice, everything was neat and delicious. We loved the atmosphere and the view on the garden. And last but not least, the staff was really helpful and lovely from start to finish! :)

I can not understand why this hotel is rated only 3 stars. It worth at least 4 and probably more. You get luxury, great service. very nice set on onsens, amazing dinner buffet, very nice spacious and comfortable room. 3 Min drive to enter Shiretoko.

You pay more for a superior twin room but the size, decor and view are superb. A beautiful combination of Japanese style and Western comfort. I only know about rooms in the main building. If you seldom splurge, do it here

Loved this fabulous hotel, very comfortable beds, rooms were very stylish and clean 😀 Buffet meals were varied and the food was excellent. Wish we'd had more time, but could only have two nights on our road trip.
