The Hotel is new open and it was an excellent stay during these dates. The location is very convenient—co-located with Tenjin Metro Station, and the signage clearly guides you to the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It was also very quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making it perfect for rest. The reception is located on the 19th floor, and you can take the elevator directly from the station B2 to the 19th floor, then transfer to an internal elevator to reach your room level. Highly recommended for your stay in Fukuoka Tenjin.

It was an exceptional stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the space, combining both modern and traditional aesthetics. There were several little nooks that added surprise as we slowly discovered them at our own pace. We were delighted with the showcase of local ceramics and tea, and the welcome tea started us on our little tea journey, the start of a relaxing two days spent here. There was plenty of seating all around the ryokan, to relax, to wait, to medidate, to just stare into nature… A big thank you to all the staff we met, from the station pick up to the small conversations at breakfast. Looking forward to visit again at a different season to experience it anew.

Stayed 1 night at this hotel. Room was clean and essential items were provided for. Room was large enough for the twin beds and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was situated on a hill away from the city centre. The view of Nagasaki city from the hotel rooftop was beautiful both in the day and night. The onsen in the hotel was clean and large. There's fee carpark and large enough for many cars. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Fukuoka.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Fukuoka. It is a good location for day trips by train to other cities - Hiroshima or Nagasaki. During November the city hosts Sumo Wrestling tournament (check for dates). The transport system is very good and easy to use, also Fukuoka is on the Shinkansen route. There are lots of temples, shrines, good shopping, galleries, museums, tall tower, great restaurants or eateries - Korean influence in some food places. I found the people very helpful, you feel safe, I cannot speak Japanese, very few speak English ( I learned to love, google translate camera to read food items etc), which means not many tourists, so when you visit places it is not rammed with people. There is plenty to do in Fukuoka City and to see outside of the city. I need to return as I have not had time to explore outside the city. Go enjoy.

what a surprise Kumamoto was. such a delightful city.

what a surprise Kumamoto was. such a delightful city. I had no idea when I booked to stay here for a few nights and only picked it as it seemed easy to get to and from for a JR Kyushu Rail Pass. However, I loved the city so much that I ended up not using the rail pass so much and hanging out in Kumamoto more. So much to see and do, from the castle to the many parks, onsens and amazing food varieties, museums and historical places to visit, it really has everything including a very cute raccoon dog mascot that you see everywhere called Kumamon. The people were so nice and friendly and the food was out of this world from fresh sushi to special ramen and local dumplings. Combine this amazing small city, that is easy to navigate with the local trams and busses which the ease of taking day trips to the amazing regional towns around the mountains and the coast and you end up with one amazing place that deserves to be better known on the tourist route. I would happily pick up sticks and move here, in a heartbeat. I wonder if the Kumamoto Tourist Board has any vacancies?

Beppu has a lot to offer. Our highlight was Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Garden. Watch about 900 Japanese macaques roam freely and interact with one another. They come down from the mountain, and you are in immediate proximity with them. A very ethical 'zoo'. We spent 2.5 hours there in amazement. It is set in a beautiful environment.

We got one day pass for the buses. It was so easy and very convenient to go and see places. We explore the city by changing the buses. The places of interest were in walking distance from the bus stops; Peace Park, Urakami Catholic Church, Basilica OURA ( UNESCO ), Glover garden, Megane Bridge and much more. With the City bus you can not go outside the city.

Not a great deal to do or see in Oita. The castle ruins holds some interest. A very friendly man in a temporary office in the car park helpfully explained more about the castle and it's moats. I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.
