We had a 50 min private bath which was extremely soothing. There were small zen gardens, libraries in a corner, and cupboards full of yukatas of different colors and designs. Kanazawa is an easygoing, relaxed city where a lot of the attractions are easily walkable from one another, and lots of great places to eat as well. It's a welcome break from the rush and bustle of Tokyo, but still very cosmopolitan. Easy to see the historical areas by yourself or take tours for deeper information. We enjoyed the castle, Kenroku-en Gardens, the samurai district, all 3 geiko districts, Omicho Market, a day out to Shirakawa-go and also time in the 21st Century Art Museum. It's easy to get around on the local buses, and easy to get to and from by train. Great eateries for us included The Godburger, Izakaya Ken, Shirom Creperie.Guest review bySJAustralia - 10.0

The onsen was totally Japanese in style and attention to detail, very relaxing and with a staff dedicated to providing the best service. They were attentive and helpful. The seaside accomodation was just as advertised. The host was helpful and a delight. She made sure we had a lovely 2 nights there. Rooms were well presented and large with amenities that were first rate. The glass manufacture workshop and the glass museum were well woth the trip. The glass gallery is world class and the architecture special and suited to its location. The aquarium was disappointing. Kanazawa is a gem of a town.
Kanazawa is a gem of a town. We really enjoyed the Samurai quarter, it's quaint and not over-populated. Kanazawa castle is fantastic, and so is Kenrokuen garden. The museum of modern art is also compact and quite good.Guest review byGuyIsrael - 10.0
