One of our favorite hotel stays in Japan. We booked a 10th floor room with outside bath and balcony and it was pure delight. Located close to tram and bus stops and the train station, which made it convenient to explore. Staff were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. The best was incredibly comfortable and we appreciated the micro kitchen. I would absolutely stay here again and have recommended it to friends who I know will be visiting Hiroshima.

The staff of this hotel will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Not only they handled the delivery of our luggages smoothly but they gave us complementary umbrellas to walk in the city (as it was raining). The staff can also keep an eye on your belongings after you check out, which was very good for us, as we had our train in the afternoon. The room was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

The town itself is nice but not too special.

The town itself is nice but not too special. Plenty of good places to eat and many shops, but the main attraction is the startof the Shimanami Kaido bike route of course, it is gorgeous and highly recommended!

The main reasson to visit was the Itsukushima Shrine but there was plenty of other shrines and temples to visit. The ropeway to Mt, Misen was great. The hike down not so much (not a trail, mainly steps - hard on the knees.

Silent small town, just next to the station you have castle, not that frequently operating local trains from this station. To reach Hiroshima I had to take a bus and could not find local trains. Shinkansen is available, so those who dont worry about Shinkansen prices then it is super easy.

Mihara is a pocket of suburban quiet within the larger area of Hiroshima. Within easy ferry access of Okunoshima (Rabbit) Island, the Mihara area provides quiet, budget-friendly accommodations, and local specials. Mihara station also acts as a stop for the Shinkansen, so it is a great place to act as a base town during your travel. Please visit Mihara!

Kure is a great place for travelers who have an interest in Naval history, owing to Kure's long history as a naval port and the birthplace of famous ships like the battleship Yamato and aircraft carrier Akagi. The following restaurants were recommended to me so I also recommend them to future travelers! - Tone-honten (Curry Rice) - Dosanko Kure Hondori (Ramen) - Morisu (Ramen) - Jiyuken (Omurice) There is a rental bicycle service offered by JR by the station for 500円 where the bikes can be rented starting from 0800hrs and returned by 2000hrs.

Got to enjoy Hiroshima for 3 days.

Got to enjoy Hiroshima for 3 days. Was fortunate to go on tour that took us to the Peaceful Hiroshima Memorial Park and Museum, as well as, to Miyajima Island the home of the floating Otorii. Not only does Hiroshima have lots of history to share with the world but it also offers great restaurants and stores but without the big crowds.

Onomichi is a picturesque and walkable city with lots of charm. You can stroll the vintage shotegai, visit the art museum, enjoy a snack at Onomichi U2, take a temple walk, ride the ropeway, and of course, biking the Shimanami Kaido. The people are friendly and the food and shopping are great.

Miyajima was great for walking around and doing the ropeway to the top. A lot of little eateries and street food- good if you like seafood. Scenic with the giant Tori gate and shrines, woods, deer walking around. Miyajima was one of my favorite spots on our trip to Japan.
