- From US$202.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,242 reviewsThis is an excellent hotel! It’s in a great location and has really good amenities. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are big. We used the public onsen which was really nice and calming, with good products provided. Additionally, the free happy hour from 5-7pm (free nibbles, wine, beer and fizz/cocktails) was a fabulous touch - I’ve never seen that in a hotel before and it was really well attended with lovely views and a terrace. It was especially helpful because we often found it quite hard to find places across Japan for just a drink before / after dinner without food. Breakfast was also very nice with a wide variety of choice (both Japanese and western-style).Guest review byAnastasiaUnited Kingdom
- From US$125.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 10,422 reviewsOverall a great experience! The location is great with easy access to transportation and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was small as shown in the photos, but worked well for a couple with light luggage. A good selection of amenities were included, as well as two different types of pillows to choose from. I highly recommend visiting the baths on the second floor as a way to unwind after a day of activities! The staff were excellent and service was great! The breakfast available at the hotel restaurant had a decent selection to choose from, including both western and Japanese options.Guest review byAnssiFinland
- From US$321.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 4,008 reviewsThe view, the view, the view. Plus, the hotel was very elegant. Extra bonus is the hydrofoil boat that docks outside the hotel that takes you to and from Itsukushima Island. The hotel was the site of the G7 conference in 2023, with lots of photos documenting the summit. The hotel is also used for weddings, and we got to watch the end of a lovely wedding, with the new bride and groom walking up a three-story circular stairway, while the wedding guests applauded the couple from the balconies overlooking the three-story central grand lobby. Just lovely.Guest review byMargaretUnited States

Very impressed with the peace memorial , museum and surrounds. Walking distance between all sights. Easy to walk to sights , lots of great places to eat and shop. So much better value than Tokyo or Osaka Great place to spend a day at Miyajima and return to. Very happy we spent two days here . Very easy to get around , great public transport and a very walkable city. Must try the Hiroshima pancakes - fun watching them Make them in front of you .Guest review bycolleenAustralia - 10.0

Onomichi is a picturesque and walkable city with lots of charm. You can stroll the vintage shotegai, visit the art museum, enjoy a snack at Onomichi U2, take a temple walk, ride the ropeway, and of course, biking the Shimanami Kaido. The people are friendly and the food and shopping are great.Guest review byLindsayUnited States - 10.0

Miyajima was great for walking around and doing the ropeway to the top. A lot of little eateries and street food- good if you like seafood. Scenic with the giant Tori gate and shrines, woods, deer walking around. Miyajima was one of my favorite spots on our trip to Japan.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10.0

It’s a little off the main tourist route, which is why it’s worth a visit. In November the weather was great. It was easy to visit the castle and grounds and a bus trip to Tomonoura was great way to spend the day. A little fishing port famous for being in films and again not too busy. In Fukuyama a visit to the Clock and auto museum is like entering an Aladdin’s cave of wonders. It’s full of the past and not just cars and clocks. Lots of small owner run restaurants as well.Guest review byCostelloeCanada - 10.0
The owner/ front desk was super nice and friendly.
The owner/ front desk was super nice and friendly. He went above and beyond. Gave me the best room with lower price because I was solo and room is for 2. Yet the room and all areas in hotel were very clean and smelled good. It’s also across from train station and easy to commute everywhere. I will definitely stay again.Guest review bySemiraUnited States - 8.0

Mihara is a pocket of suburban quiet within the larger area of Hiroshima. Within easy ferry access of Okunoshima (Rabbit) Island, the Mihara area provides quiet, budget-friendly accommodations, and local specials. Mihara station also acts as a stop for the Shinkansen, so it is a great place to act as a base town during your travel. Please visit Mihara!Guest review byEmmaUnited States - 10.0

Kure is a great place for travelers who have an interest in Naval history, owing to Kure's long history as a naval port and the birthplace of famous ships like the battleship Yamato and aircraft carrier Akagi. The following restaurants were recommended to me so I also recommend them to future travelers! - Tone-honten (Curry Rice) - Dosanko Kure Hondori (Ramen) - Morisu (Ramen) - Jiyuken (Omurice) There is a rental bicycle service offered by JR by the station for 500円 where the bikes can be rented starting from 0800hrs and returned by 2000hrs.Guest review byRyanSingapore - 8.0

Hiroshima was a lovely city of history and culture and an opportunity as a base to do additional day trips to other cities to experience more of the Japanese culture. We experienced very humid conditions in September so would look at the cherry blossom time when returningGuest review bysandraAustralia - 10.0

Because I got in late from doing the big bike ride over from Imabari, I was left with little time or energy to explore Onomichi. However, I did do some of the temple tour in the morning and it was excellent. I recommend taking the "ropeway" (I'd call it a cable car) to the hilltop and work your way down. I'd love to come back and explore more of this interesting little town.Guest review byVaytwTaiwan - 10.0

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom
