From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was comfortable and memorable. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short drive from the entrance to the ancient city of Petra, making it incredibly convenient for exploring this world wonder. After a long day of sightseeing, coming back to the tranquil and beautifully designed rooms was a true delight. The attention to detail in the room decor and the cleanliness was top-notch.

Everything is fantastic: the staff Is smiley, welcoming and very smart and fast in giving advice and making arrangements. The hotel is in a very good location , near to restaurant, shops, but also to Petra Visitor center. Our room was comfortable, big enough and bed and bathroom were perfect! There is a great terrace space to sit back and relax once the sun goes down. Great hospitality by the host and accommodated all of our requests. It was a beautiful bedouin camp and allowed us to experience the heritage and culture of the locals. The setting was idyllic nested between a mountain range that lit up in the evening. All the staff, from reception to the owner to the cleaners to the waiters were helpful and knowledgable, polite and professional.we spent one night in the double luxury tent and it was perfect.The food for dinner was perfect, especially the chicken😋.A lady was making fresh bread inside the camp restaurant, we couldnt eat enough of it.Overall It had a relaxed atmosphere and you could see it in everyone working there and staying there. We felt safe all the time and slept really well.There was also a tent where you can enjoy shisha and delightful live traditional music.And sitting outside on the bench with some tea was just as anjoyable. THANK YOU! to everyone for being so helpful and making the last day of our trip the ultimate highlight of the journey.

This hotel is simply excellent ! In every way, staff , facilities food, everything.From the warm welcome at reception to every single staff member we encountered.Nothing was any trouble every encounter was greeted with a smile, they obviously take great pride in their work. I had booked 2 single rooms and we were given beautiful rooms with king-sized beds !! Leaving our luggage, on both early arrival and while we explored after check out was anticipated by staff ! .Special credit needs to the Food & Beverage Manager , forgive me I don't recall the name , he clearly loves his job and he made people so welcome. He creates a great atmosphere despite working very long hours.We had buffet breakfast and dinner and the choice was amazing and very very tasty..Eating is the cave was special.Do not stay anywhere else if visiting Petra ! And the external elevator is a bonus !!

The room was clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We had breakfast each morning which had several options. We also were pleasantly surprised that the hotel packed us lunches for the day that we were able to take with us into Petra. The staff was superb, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Front desk helped us arrange a message at a Turkish Bath in the area with a driver to and from. Had a great stay and would recommend and will return to in future.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dana Guest House. One of the best experience of our life, all the staff is here to make you feel at home, with authenticity and generosity. The view on the Dana Reserve is breathless, especially as you can even enjoy it from your shower! The home-made diner was amazing with a lot of choice. And Salem was an incredible host, with great advices and always paying attention to us. If you come to Jordan, you should not miss this place !

You just can’t beat the location of this hotel. Seeing Petra involves one thing - A LOT OF WALKING. And this hotel is the first hotel you see out of the gate after an exhausting, but worthwhile, day of exploring the amazing heritage site of Petra. The Cave Bar was our very first stop each time we finished each of the two days we spent enjoying one of our bucket lists. It’s a bit pricey but worth the splurge

This is a must visit place.

This is a must visit place. The natural beauty, Petra and rest of the nabatean ruins are out of the world. trek to the monastery is worth the effort. It will be uncomfortable in summer You need to spend at least two days. Petra at night is the most amazing experience. The views from Petra to wadi Rum is spectacular. Absolutely on everyone’s bucket list Food, Jordanian people and hospitality is wonderful. It is a safe place!!!

Probably my rating or comment is not suitable for every travelers as foreigner but living in Jordan for long time. Definitely, I need 5 star hotels in Dead Sea or Aqaba to refresh myself and my family regularly. But Dana is a great place to also have regular visit as it is located within 2.5 hours range from my home in Amman, and to experience this great nature in reasonable expense. After over 10 years of staying in this country, as a person like to sleep under the millions of stars, Dana is most frequently visited location at the recent years of my life in Jordan.

we have encountered fraudulent behavior on the part of the accommodation operator. after making the reservation via "booking.com" we arrived to the location - meeting with the resort representative "Ahmad" we were taken to another camp resort ( very old, nor matching the pictures during the booking, empty ) being told that the other "camp" is full... but 1 room could still be found - as long as we're happy to pay double price. We accepted as we're in the middle of desert. But this was clearly deliberate fraudulent conduct. Our recommendation would be for Booking.com not to keep contractual relationship with such accommodation providers.

The village has been abandoned and then rebuilt as a hotel. It sits above a valley and has a stunning view that goes all the way to the Dead Sea. The very friendly Musaad made sure that everyone felt welcome and helped. He also set up a guide for our trip to the nearby Sela' fortress, which is a very interesting Nabataean site. A beautiful spot away from the crowds of tourists, a chance to see the real Jordan.

Fantastic staff, friendly and welcoming, happy to offer u an upgrade if possible, food was lovely, views were epic, we stayed in dome with the en suite bathroom, it was just Great..we were sad to stay just one night and wish we could stay longer. It was only a short drive to Petra . Would definitely recommend.

The reserve is beautiful.

The reserve is beautiful. We spent 3 days hiking and hardly saw any other people. Amazing colors and sweeping vistas. Definitely go with a knowledgeable guide to get the best experience. Stay at the Jabal Dana Hotel for great views and amazing food.

Pay attention to the weather conditions depending on the time of year. We had to abandon the hike due to heavy rain 3 days before (end of February/beginning of March). Our host recommended doing this hike after March 15 and ideally in May.

Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from...

Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from Petra. Suggest you take a car to the top (Rear) of Petra and enter near the monastery then walk down hill towards the entrance as it is a big day of walking. Hotel has lovely staff and very helpful. Every night was a large outdoor fire with tea service and music while the hills had lights on them for great photos. Suggest spending two nights in this hotel min maybe 3-4 nights to experience all the surround areas.
