- From US$163.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,479 reviewsThis hotel is great. We traveled with a dog, it was no problem for them and they didn't charge extra for the animal. Daily cleaning was a godsend (especially if there is a beach nearby and you are traveling with a dog :) ). Great location, close to the promenade, pier, beach. Very nice and helpful service. Breakfasts were ok, the same every day, but you can use different types of breakfasts - sweet or salty. Parking under the hotel is additionally paid, but then you can safely leave your car and not worry about it. Swimming pool available even in October, so you can still use this facility. I highly recommend.Guest review byevelinuuPoland

Viarreggio is a very friendly and family type of town with some great beaches, pleasant pedestrianised streets, restaurants and a lovely park in the centre. Being very flat it is easy for people to get around town and there are many on bikes. Our favourite places to eat were MaMe Restaurant, Osteria l'Imbarco and Ristorante Pizzeria EdenGuest review byKENNETHUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration. The beaches and restaurants were almost entirely empty of people, so there was a a lack of excitement and "buzz" about the whole area. I might have expected this a month later, but not in September.Guest review byAntony - 10.0

Beautiful little town nestled in between the mountains and sea. The locals are very friendly, it's an easy town to walk around as it's not too big. The beach is HUGE so you can have a lovely walk along it. Lots of places to eat and drink to suit a variety of budgets – highlights were Caffe Soldi, Caffe Roma, Pesce Baracca, Bocconcino. There are lots of places to visit nearby – Pietrasanta, Lucca, Pisa, Cinequeterra – or you can relax on the beach in Forte, you will not be bored!Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Torre del Lago Puccini is truly a unique and special place, full of atmosphere and charm. It is here that one of the greatest opera composers, Giacomo Puccini, lived and created his masterpieces. Today, you can visit the museum in his former villa, where he composed his operas – an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend to all lovers of art and music. The town itself enchants with its beauty – located by a picturesque lake, with a beautifully designed open-air theatre dedicated to opera. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the people are kind and friendly, and everywhere you go you can feel the authentic Italian spirit. On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious – especially the pizza, which is a must-try.We have already had the pleasure of attending two breathtaking opera performances here, and we are already planning our third visit. Torre del Lago Puccini is a place that draws you back again and again – we sincerely recommend it to everyone who loves opera, Italian hospitality, and the beauty of this country.Guest review byMirosławUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The beaches and the esplanade are tremendous, The food is fantastic. The people were welcoming, and did not judge us on our poor Italian language skills. The area is very cycling friendly , and easy to hire bikes if needed.Guest review byCraigSwitzerland - 8.0

Not very affordable as you need to pay for beach space and extras. Beaches are meant for all to enjoy and be free like in Australia. All beaches are for all to enjoy. Quite touristy in high season. It must be nice to go there just before or after it. Different entertainments are provided. Problems with parking in high seasons and controls by the city guards which can lead to penalties.Guest review byPrzemysławPoland - 6.0

Seems like the place is stuck in the 80s but with 2024 prices. Imposible to find decent food for less than 50 euro a person. service level on the (expensive) beaches stuck somewhere in 1986. Price for an umbrella and 2 beds? 30 euros. Ah you want to use the pool? another 5. And Icould go on. OVerall horrible customer service all around. Ah and no public transport or taxi service worth mentioning.Guest review byGennaroSwitzerland
