What a gem of a hotel! A warm, homely hotel which provides a great breakfast, and the 5 course evening meal is packed with flavour that you'd expect with 4**** dining, but with double the portion size! The room was great too. I hope to return one day.

I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic experience. The breakfast here is absolutely delicious, and what sets it apart is the unique free à la carte menu, which I haven't seen offered at any other hotel before. The location is excellent - it's very central yet surprisingly quiet, with the city center just a short walk away. The added bonus of a free parking garage is a big plus. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Moreover, the front desk team is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist you. Overall, it's an outstanding choice for a memorable stay.

Very beautiful outside pool and pond, clean and big enough room with a balcony to be on. Very cool spa area with a snow room and saunas which were clean and beautiful. Exceptional service in the restaurant - we booked halfboard and announced one of us was vegan. The four course dinner was given in a vegan version which tasted great. In the morning we got two vegan croissants already at the table & both times you could feel everybody taking food restrictions absolutely serious. That was more than amazing! Thanks a lot for this great time at your hotel!

FAQs about hotels in South Tyrol

Tyrolese Magic among the Italian Alps

Part of the Alpine regions of northern Italy, this small province mixes great ski slopes, rich traditions from Austrian, Italian and Ladin cultures, stunning landscapes, and great food and wines. Seasons make no difference here, as the enchantment of South Tyrol has always something magic to offer.

With strong cultural and historical bonds with the Austrian Tyrol, this tiny region has a population with a German-speaking majority. The charming towns spread through its undulating geography mix the Tyrolese and Italian influence.

In the picturesque capital Bolzano, the Walther Square with the Cathedral of The Assumption of Our Lady and the trendy shops along Via dei Portici are a must to visit. Known also as Bozen, it is famous for the Christmas Market, where most of the hotels in South Tyrol get sold out quickly.

Merano is the 2nd city in the region and is famous for its spa facilities. And of course, also some the best luxury hotels in South Tyrol are located here. When you talk about Südtirol, it is also important to mention skiing in the Dolomites, Val Badia or Val Gardena: white beauties that you won’t be able to resist.

There are some places that exceed the hype and this is one of them! A truly amazing experience in a tranquil pine forest retreat with outstanding heated pool and enhanced by the amazing food and hospitality. Things that surprise me in a very positive way: - the food was outstanding! Besides the gourmet style daily dinner the lunch was surprisingly also amazing. In some occasions I even enjoyed more the lunch to the dinner as the food was more authentic in a more laid down vibe. The grill lunch was one of those days! Just perfection! Klaus knows what he is doing (just a pity he cannot speak English! Maybe another member of the staff should join him). - Wine and cocktails. I must say all the complementary coktails were very impressive both in authenticity and in flavour! The wine list is also high standards. - the pool. Not only it is beautiful and pristine clean but the water is at perfect warm temperature and the size big enough for real proper swimming! Impressive! - tranquility of the grounds mainly in the sauna areas. - top notch quality of the complimentary electric bikes. - staff polite and pro active. I would like to highlight the professionalism of Lorenza, Alexandre and Christian.

It's a hotel that has everything you need for relaxing. Stay over in Bolzano, from the pool setting to the flower gardens to the lounge area outside in their little park, then inside to another lounge, or to have a snack. There's a buffet in the morning that has everything! There is ever a cigar lounge, yes a room all on its own with a good section of Davidoff Cigars! The room we had was 503, which was the top floor, and well setup, air conditioning, mini bar, separate sitting area, large bathroom with a tub and shower, our daughter stayed in 103, single room but nice setup as well, beds and pillows good , Controlled parking right across from hotel, yes we enjoyed out stay! Short walk to main square 4/5 minute walk, full of restaurants and spots to just sit have coffee. This place rates 5 Star, and when you stay, the place has a little history! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained surroundings. The outdoor terrace and relaxation areas around the property are perfect for unwinding and enjoying the scenery. The SPA is excellent, featuring an indoor hot tub, two saunas, and peaceful relaxation areas, plus an outdoor swimming pool. What truly stood out, however, were the staff and the food. We chose the half-board option and were grateful for it every evening—the breakfasts were fabulous with high-quality ingredients, and the dinners were absolutely superb. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, creating a warm atmosphere throughout our stay. A lovely bonus is the complimentary organized hiking groups—we joined one and had a wonderful experience. Overall, a fantastic stay we’d happily recommend!

Reception: Very friendly stuff, explained everything in details. We were also allowed to stay in the lounge to wait for the bus even after checked out. Much appreciated. We also received a cup with Dolomites prints on it as a gift, sweet. Cleanness: everything was very clean and easy to use, shampoo condition and shower gel available for use, towels and duvet clean too. Facilities: kitchen wares are available and clean Location: 5 mins walking to two bakery stores, 4 minutes to bus stop, 20 minutes bus to Ortesei. Not as busy as Ortesei was another attraction to us.

Bolzano is a perfect spot for exploring the lower reaches of the Dolomites with very good train connections to Verona, Venice, Innsbruck and beyond. The old town is gorgeous to walk around and off course the must see attraction of The Bolzano Iceman. Otzi, 5300 year natural Mummy should be number 1 on the 'cannot be missed list'

This is further to my previous review on Garni Rives.

This is further to my previous review on Garni Rives. I gave the hotel a review that reflects my honest opinion, mainly about the manager/host of the hotel. Obviously my review was not received with warmth from the hotel manager. He messaged me immediately via Whatsapp and blamed me being not polite to him, I have no idea where does this come from. I believe he has broken the golden rule of being in me the hospitality industry, if he cannot accept honest reviews, how can he improve to thrive on? The hotel itself is OK and the only problem I have is the steep climb (not the hotel's fault) and mainly the manager's manner.

Nice and clean apartment. Even we only had contact with the host via the chat, the host was very helpful though. The location of apartment was perfect. It's located in the city center. We love the view outside the living room. Parking was 15 euro per night, it's very nearby apartment. We had a lovely stay at Casa Fellin.
