I was a solo traveller to Bolzano, and this is written without any exaggeration - I love my stay at La Briosa, and it'll be one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. First things first, the architecture of the hotel and the room was stunning. In particular, the windows in the room are designed in the shape of arches where they face the mountains! It's such an excellent design and what a privilege to wake up and have the sights of mountains greet you. Sandra and her team are extremely hospitable - from recommending me a good restaurant in the city centre when I told her that I don't take much meat, to the lady who runs the breakfast floor who dutifully remembers our orders such as our coffee preferences. La Briosa is also about 10 minutes walk to the main train and bus station which makes it very easy to commute if you are taking public transport. La Briosa is such a classy establishment, and I absolutely love my stay there. I hope more people can experience the magic of La Briosa that I did :)

Bolzano was stunning , we spent the evening at the Christmas markets , everything was handmade and truly authentic Italian . Delicious food and drinks . Fabulous setting and all the shops really went all out decorating for Christmas. Best experience ever !

Eppan is a great smaller area outside of Bozen.

Eppan is a great smaller area outside of Bozen. We enjoyed being close to both the city and nature. There was a local market on Tuesday, and the bakeries and restaurants in town were all delicious and staffed with friendly employees. A cool little spot for a trip!

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and...

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and it was nice for one/two evenings. We mostly travelled outside the Caldaro just having hotel in that town. Surrounding vineyards are lovely to visit and enjoy vine tasting. Great roads for motorbike or bike trips.

Now I am receiving rude responses from the Hotel Rotwand saying: "we do not have "italian" personal in the hotel, from eveyone the mother language is german dialect but italian citizien, so your coment look racists or even without sense. the cleaning women is not mexican, she is peruvian like i told you. if the beef you had at dinner wasn´t right, we could change it without problem" To which I must respond that I spoke Spanish with the lovely maid. Sorry I didn't know she is Peruvian, but that's no reason call me racist. I thought Fabian was an Italian name. Again sorry but that doesn't make me racist. Your rudeness continues even now after I've gone. = (

Thanks to the wonderful weather during our stay in Termeno, we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The sunny days made it perfect for exploring the vineyards, relaxing outdoors, and taking in the stunning views — it truly made our visit even more enjoyable.

Lovely traditional small Italian town in South Tyrol.

Lovely traditional small Italian town in South Tyrol. The free use of local buses and trains with the Sud Tirol card made it very easy to get to places. Easy to get into either Bolzano or Merano. And great local wine trail walk with the history of the local wine region.

Bolzano is a perfect spot for exploring the lower reaches of the Dolomites with very good train connections to Verona, Venice, Innsbruck and beyond. The old town is gorgeous to walk around and off course the must see attraction of The Bolzano Iceman. Otzi, 5300 year natural Mummy should be number 1 on the 'cannot be missed list'

Nice and friendly.

Nice and friendly. Much more German than Italian, which mainly is reflected on the selection of food available. Very nice area for starting walking and trekking in the mountains. Beautiful surroundings.

Great place to stay while visiting the beautiful Alto-Adige region. The BZ bus pass is an easy way to get to Bolzano City Center without driving a car. Parking in town is challenging and/or expensive.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region. Home of Gewurztraminer. In one side of town vineyards an apple orchards, in other side woods and mountains. Ideal for active holidays but also for wine and food lovers.
