Fantastic old monastery near Siena. The courtyard and gardens are beautiful. The staff prepared a special vegan breakfast every day, despite offering a very extensive and high-quality buffet already.

A huge welcome awaits you at this family run hotel. It was bright, airy and absolutely spotless. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed, balcony, air conditioning and an en-suite with shower and hair dryer. The breakfast was tasty and we were asked if we wanted more by every member of staff that passed our table. There are no negative points to mention.

Lovely old town with a fantastic cathedral and a museum with great gothic and early renaissance sculptures and paintings. We liked the local food and the friendly prices in the small restaurant (and wine bar) Fischi per Fiaschi.

Montepulciano is THE Tuscan hill-town to stay in.

Montepulciano is THE Tuscan hill-town to stay in. It is a bit bigger than its neighbors and is a fun place to wander around in. There's a lovely cafe, Lalma, just up the street from Casa degli Orti. There's great art in the town along with wonderful views, and of course, don't forget the wine! Lots of opportunities to taste what Tuscany has to offer. We had a car so we were able to drive to the other hill-towns. Pienza is cute; get some cheese! Montalcino was delightful. The whole area is simply jawdroppingly beautiful!

We were a wedding party. my husband as he is now sourced both the venue and the accommodation. it was absolutely perfect. The town garden suited us with family as each had their own bathroom. 3 adult children plus two grandchildren which was great. The location was fantastic, lots of places to eat and near the ice cream shop! We got married at the town hall which again was so beautiful and special. The town garden was near the wedding venue which again made it ideal for walking in heels!! it was as they say perfect.

The town is nice.

The town is nice. It is a quiet time of the year, but the merchants we encountered were friendly. The Terme Theia was ok, but the management inflexible when I tried to inform them of a booking error within 24hours of making it they did not reply to my emails, and when I spoke to the they said that once I paid there was no refund or changes. I prefer the Terme sensoriale, but unfortunately they are only open on weekends

The apartement was even nicer than pictures.

The apartement was even nicer than pictures. There was oil and a bit of vinegar as well as salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have a few more amenities. The pool looked really nice but we did not have time to take advantage of it. Check in was easy even though we arrived very late at night. Same for the check out.

I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count.

I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.

THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia.

THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia. The amenities of this property are good, rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom etc was great. Breakfast was also pretty good, though they could improve their bread selections. THE NOT GOOD : Staff is difficult to get hold of and are not very helpful/friendly. This is compounded by the fact that (if you speak English), they are not very conversant in English. THE BAD : We had specifically requested rooms to be close by but instead we were given rooms that were a 5 mins walk through hallways, elevators and literally on opposite ends of the property.

Siena is beautiful.

Siena is beautiful. It is a much quieter cousin to Florence and much more enjoyable. Less crowds but equally spectacular places to visit. The Cathedral is a must and pay for the extra cost of the additional venues at the same time it is well worth it. Palazzo
