BelgiumThe hotel is a little gem: elegant, comfortable and so welcoming, with views to the mountains. Breakfast was abundant and offering some nice specialties and good vegan/vegetarian options. There is a small gym, which could be improved.
The staff was truly exceptional: efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We got great tips for visiting nearby areas and could check-in before noon even, within an hour since booking (we had hastily left a nearby accommodation with an inappropriate owner). The dinner options were also good and decently priced.
Rooms ar not very big but offer all the comfort you need and the bathrooms have a very elegant and modern design. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is free parking on the site.
We can only recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it whenever we are nearby.

The daughter of the owner, who helped with check in and check out was amazing. went way above what was expected. Even allowing me to use her phone to call outside of Italy to help with an enquiry I needed to sort out re our vacation.

hotel. We had a delightful view over the roof slates to the lake and mountains. Room and bathroom with painted walls and a luxury spa bath were much enjoyed. We enjoyed two excellent evening meals in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit. It was so nice just being able to wander out into the streets and piazza of lovely Orta. The staff were very friendly and offered helpful information.

Luca&Melissa are possibly the most attentive, kind & helpful hosts I have ever met on my travels.
The house is lovely, with huge garden with plenty of places to sit & relax. The apartment is simple & has everything you need. The views are wonderful. Lots of parking place under the shade in the garden.
The roads to villa are bit steep&narrow last few meters, but managable:).
There is lovely shop nearby where u can by essencials & some local products, too. There is nice restaurant, too..just short walk from the villa.
You can go down the town on foot..its bit of walk, but enjoyable.
Lovely kitties & doggie😻.

Fantastic restaurant (although no breakfast available)
Very generous helpful host opened up early to let us drop our bags in

She gave us taxi numbers a lthough they were unavailable. Recommend having a car
Apparently there were waterfalls somewhere
We could have looked a bit more at the flyers downstairs , there were lots available
The ones I took for the lac were good

The property was so beautiful and the pool view was breathtaking
There was also a very nice bistro/bar that overlooked the lake
- La Cucina restaurant, with the same amazing view, served varied dishes, we had the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was amazing
The staff at La Darbia was welcoming and helpful
All in all a perfect stay
We will definitely visit again

Great location. It takes 10 minutes of walk to the train station and 20 minutes to the town square. Easy walk to the Sacri Monti. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist attractions, making it a perfect place to have a relaxed vacation. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great.

I loved the central location, the fact that our spacious and comfortable room overlooked the lake, the lift, the possibility of parking our motorcycle inside a garage, the vicinity of bars and restaurants, the good breakfast and the friendly and helpful staff.

Choose a room with air condition if you are planning to come in summertime… we had booked a double room without it and that room was like a hot cave. We were able to upgrade to another room and it was totally worth it.

I had a lovely stay.
I had a lovely stay. The location is perfect and I spent quite some time on my balcony which overlooked the lake. The breakfast was delicious and the attention to detail excellent. Massimo is a great host.

If you are seeking peace, tranquility and natural beauty - this is the place for you. No children and gorgeous lake - much smaller than Como or Maggiore but you can easily get to Maggiore in 30 minutes if you want more life. Gorgeous restaurant which the hostess arrange for us with taxi to and from included just down the road and a little local Osteria 30 meters away for a truly local experience.

There were market stalls on Thursday. Extremely helpful and patient locals (we speak a tiny, tiny amount of Italian). Great local takeaways, cafe's and restaurants. A couple of supermarkets if you really want them but why would you with all the local shops selling the best cheese, meats, bread and pastries.

We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover coming from france travelling down through Italy, however it was exactly what we expected and more. A really lovely location with a great aspect, Monte Bianco was viewable from our room balcony. it was very clean and the staff were helpful. the food was nice, however i would of liked to seen an itemised bill for our food, when we checked out. On retrospect i'm not sure if i was overcharged slightly for our dinner. If that was the case its partly my fault for not enquiring further. Having said this we would definitely return if we took this route again. Peaceful and enjoyable stay with clean nice rooms.

We stayed in Alzo, part of Pella apparently, but its own little village up the hill somewhat on the west side of Lago d'Orta. The square looks over the lake: fantastic view with a small village feeling. Post office, lodging choices, church, dining (Osteria del Gallo), bank, all a short drive down to Pella or up more to the homes and sights high above.

Loved the building we stayed in and the hosts were lovely and informative. The area is less touristy than Como and has a peaceful charm about the place. Some of the restaurants in Orta were less than charming but that can happen anywhere. Next time we would stay longer and explore the hiking potential.

We loved the place.
We loved the place.
Taking boats to the village's and th island is a must.
The restaurant on the island is wonderful with great food and if you sit by the window as we did a wonderful view.
You also need to walk up the sacred mount to see all the chapels.
The place is not a mass tourist place so visit now before others find it.

Very good welcome from the two brothers who run the Battle of Britain hotel. We had lunch and it was served in a large dining room overlooking lake Orta and the beautiful gardens downstairs. The view is stunning.
Lunch was very pleasant. Good beef carpaccio served with plenty of parmigiano and small salads on side. I discovered a new Italian dessert called Bonet, a speciality from Turin.

Miasino is a quit small village.
Miasino is a quit small village. We choose for a dinner @ villa Nigra Taverne. Fine and fresh cooked.
The other day we start to walk down to the lake steep but nice walk for 20 minutes and visit the old village for a couple of hours.
