Fantastic location at the foot of Sass Songher and Sass Ciampac mountains which are both very nice strolls for a pre-breakfast view. Great location close to the centre of Corvara. Christian and his team are all great and we were made to feel very welcome.

Located in a very idyllic Sudtirolian village, with a backdrop peaceful green plains and impressive mountains. Very elaborate and tasty breakfast and well prepared regional food for dinner. We came for wine and were blown away by their infinite wine list full of European treasures. And let’s not forget to mention the beautiful wellness with great views from the sauna! Everything was superb! One of the best experiences we had, with a view to the mountains. It is basically next to the ski lift, so while being there during the summer we had a lovely time hiking around. We were in an apartment, having a bedroom a spacious living room and a separate bathroom. And the spa part, simply awesome! I would also highlight how friendly and flexible the staff was. Thanks!

We had half board and the meals were by far the best of our holiday. On our first night we were given free wine tasting with local produce. Our room in the annexe was exceptionally large and clean with an amazing panoramic view from the balcony. Parking was free right outside the hotel with the option of garage parking. All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially our waitress at breakfast and dinner.

    This is a very beautiful hotel. Small and cozy but friendly, warm and inviting, and luxurious in an old-world European way, The spa and pool are gorgeous and so relaxing. The beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious, meticulously prepared, healthy, hearty and generous. It's located right at a chair lift to take you up for beautiful hikes on endless trails in the Dolomites with restaurants every 1.5 miles or so for drinks and Bavarian-style menu options. I can't recommend it enough for a nature-filled, relaxing mountain escape. The town and views are just gorgeous. Beware the drive up to Corvara in Badia is steep and on windy narrow roads for about 45 minutes. Really loved the salad bar every night I must add and the very friendly staff.

    Everything. There is a lot of parking space near the hotel so very accessible. The staff were warm, welcoming and very kind from the very first moment and throughout. The room was amazing, very big and comfortable, with a beautiful mountain view. The facilities (spa, pool) were great and free of charge. You can also book a massage (not free) in advance. The breakfast was AMAZING!! They have everything you can think of and in very high quality. Again, the staff were amazing. The hotel has a bar and also a restaurant if you feel like spending your evening inside. Would definitely recommend the restaurant in the wine cellar! Can't wait to go back again!

    The location is probably one of the best in Dolomites. The view from the outdoor pool is breathtaking. The hotel has different areas/rooms for relax. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had half-board included. The food was great. Never were hungry. There is a free parking near the hotel.

    Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.

    Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.

    San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.

    La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.

    I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.

    La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.

    Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa . They put us in one of their old rooms. Which was not worth the fee. I don’t know why they did that we were one of the few guests that had booked in all week .I thought that was pretty poor of them . The hotel did not inform booking.com there was a fee for using the pool. Pretty mean all round . They knew we not happy and they simply did not care. Unacceptable

    This small town is surrounded by Italian Alps which allow travelers to stay calm and peaceful mood. Convenient stores were available in the city center. It is easy to access to any hotel from main road to the edge of mountains. Location of this town is in between Ortisei and Cinque Torri which makes this town as stopover for a night for Dolomites pilgrimage. Of course, multiple night stay is also recommended. In summer time, air and temperature can refresh tired body and release stress. Highly recommendable with two thumbs up.

    San Cassiano is very centrally located for exploring and hiking the Dolomites. Short drives over stunningly beautiful passes to Val Gardena and Cortina de Ampezzo, Corvara is 10 minutes with no pass to go over. Purchased a lift ticket for all of the lifts in the San Cassiano area and had great hikes up on the mountains where the views are spectacular. San Cassiano is not large, but has a good grocery store within walking distance of the Lagacio and a cute downtown area.
