We have planned for good family trip at privacy place. Hotel Annamalai International is a luxury 4-star hotel located in the heart of Pondicherry. The hotel offers the best facilities and caters to both leisure and business travellers. It is just a few kilometres from the clean beaches of Pondicherry. It is well-connected to the bustling urban life of the union territory. I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel with my aged mother and my spouse for two nights (20th & 24th Jan2025) recently. All three of us are senior citizens and in particular mother was about 90 years old needing wheelchair services. Right from our arrival (on both occasions) the hotel provided us with excellent services including complete assistance with their wheelchair services whenever required. The hospitality shown by their reception, house keeping and room service staff were excellent on both the occasions. The room allotted to us (on both occasions) was spacious and clean with a good view. The toilets was very clean and comfortable. The room was provided with sufficient quantity of tea/coffee ingredients in the coffee maker table, toiletries, linen etc The room service was on time and the food served was very good. Excellent ambience was present in the lobby, the staircase and the corridors. An attractive transparent lift was also present in the hotel. Though the hotel is a roadside establishment, the double layer sealed soundproof glass panels ensures noise free environment inside the room. Overall, our stay in this was very comfortable, safe and memorable. I will definitely recommend this hotel for a safe and memorable family stay. Good show.

The pool area was fantastic, location great, right near the centre of Pondy and all the facilities. Staff were very courteous, polite and helpful. They allowed me to check in early, kept my bags safe for me upon check out, and gave me a number for a taxi service to Chennai. Also, one of the best (if slightly pricier, but worth it) laundry services I had in 3 months of travel. Love this place. Definitely coming back if I ever pass through Pondicherry!

The breakfast was excellent , it had a continental and Indian selection which was delicious . The fresh fruit and Juice was a nice finish to a scrumptious breakfast. The room was of a large size , clean and comfortable and room service was excellent.

A funny old place.

A funny old place. Clearly the old French area - worryingly named White Town - seems to have been preserved as a cultural curiosity. It is lovely that a sea walk has been blocked from traffic, is this unique in India. It make for a peaceful walk. It is indeed curious to see vestiges of French imperialism here and these are clearly still integrated into the local life - such as the Hotel de Ville which still functions as the Municipal centre and the cops wear a Képi which of course does not make them any less coplike. The food - Madame Shastre’s is worth a shout out. Le Cédille Heritage Homestay was very calm, charming and relaxing place to stay. While the focus is on the French, the vibrant Tamil and colourful Hindu areas with fascinating temple everywhere are also worth exploring and possibly have more to offer for the discerning than vestiges of French imperialism. Great food in both areas of course and no dodgy croissants. An intriguing place which is well worth pausing in.

If you are travelling to enjoy drinks and relaxation then...

If you are travelling to enjoy drinks and relaxation then this is not the place. This area falls under Tamil Nadu jurisdiction and hence if you buy booze and drive out you will be held by the police who will seize the liquor and then impose fine. Will be harassed badly. Jam packed small streets and not worth staying.

Beautiful and relaxing.

Beautiful and relaxing. Friendly staff and very beautiful lavish greenish gardens with children play area. Great relax playing basketball, volleyball and shuttle. Felt secured silent peaceful stay with great hospitality from the manager Siva. Sure, I'll visit again and recommend to my friends and families.

Aurivill beach least crowded. Local market is cheap. White town expensive they charge double price for 1 l bottle, couple photo happens generally here. I tried gelato and waffle it wase awesome. We stay for 2 days and I think it's enough to visit pondicherry. Rock beach people will approach you for mangrove forest motor boat ride.

I visited, Rock beach, Paradise beach, Eden beach, all are very beautiful and maintained well. Visited all the churches around, and the museum at the French colony, all was good . More maintenance and cleaning of the beaches can be done ... Eating places are few couldn't find, maybe locals would know better... Pondicherry is relatively small, and its easy to get around the place Spending more time at the beautiful beaches is great thing to do with the children Otherwise the place is really beautiful!
