AustraliaOur hosts, Janine and John were wonderfully welcoming as were their 2 dogs who were full of fun and looking for a pat. Our cottage was perfect and very comfortable with everything we needed. Janine provided some extras too which was very thoughtful - fresh eggs from their ducks and chickens, home made jams, cereal, oats, milk and bread too. We had a very peaceful nights rest and awoke in our rural idyll with cattle at the gate and chickens at the door.

From the minute we opened the door we were presently surprised from the space to how clean and tidy it was. John had ample amount of supplies from towels and shower gels and shampoos to tea bags coffee cereal, there is a half and half fridge freezer so convienent especially if you have family stayimg in good weather for icepopes. There is a play area close buy so it's suitable for younger and older kids. i cannot fault him he has truly thought of everything. If we ever go back to that area we will 💯% be onto John and his lovely home.
John messaged on the day and through the few days to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything I have never had such a ***** experience from a house rental

I stayed here on short notice for work and the hotel was amazing. I had no idea that the town even existed before booking, but the location was amazing. A lovely little town right on the River Barrow which includes a medieval castle and beautiful bridge.
The hotel was very well managed with beautiful artwork and fresh flowers on display. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. The restaurant has a great menu and the breakfast was cooked to order. Some of the nicest food I've had in a long time. I will 100% be back.

THE ROOM WAS LARGER THAN WE RESERVED, SO IT WAS A WONDERFUL SURPRISE FOR US.
THE HUGE BATHROOM WITH SHOWER AND BATH WAS ALSO A SURPRISE. WE DID NOT BOOK DINNER IN ADVANCE, BUT CHANGED OUR MIND AND WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE FOOD AND THE NEXT MORNING WITH BREAKFAST.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET EVENING SITTING BY THE OPEN FIREPLACE WITH BIRCH LOG BURNING.

We stayed for 1 night. The cabin is located in a peaceful countryside. There are artificial lakes for fishing. The cabin is completely made of wood and makes it a special feeling. We got to see a fox in front of the cabin in the morning, it was something new and interesting for us.

The food was delicious and there was lots of it! He printed out directions and gave us wonderful advice of things to see! Everything was very clean and there was lots of places to store clothes and items. ( also lots of outlets)

Lovely stay in a lovely location. Nothing was too much trouble. Great choice of breakfast to suit. My car broke down while there and they could not have been more helpful with suggestions and lifts, which was above and beyond.

Magic place, in contact with nature. Mary and Robert (and their cat) are lovely people and they managed to keep the authenticity of the place. very comfy room and extraordinary breakfast with a lot of local, eco products.

Weather . Trip .. carlow.. and hot was all fantastic the drive was so easy the direction s to hotel and town was a bonus and the xtra, s in the hotel were brilliant .
Swimming pool etc .. the staff who work in the hotel could not do enough for us and I want to thank them so so much
. The room it's self was stunning and so very much appreciated if I could get this e Room again I'd stay every wk end there again nothing was to much for the staff ... u all made my hubby's retirement and birthday so so special

Well, this is the 3rd time that i have filled this in, so either the hotel doesn't care, or they dont read the feedback.
I'm not going to re write everything, but in short, we were very disappointed with the noise levels particularly on the sat night , which came form 3 sources, and didn't until after 4 am

Very quiet picturesque village not a lot happening. We arrived on Sunday was extremely busy in bar for carvery. Dinner was lovely but a bit small for the price.we went to the little bar af the back of the local shop it was really nice

Amazing location , amazing views , great hosts and would certainly stay again. The pods were tastefully decorated incredibly clean and comfortable. Welcome package of fruit and milk was appreciated along with the dog biscuits. It was a great stay .

Definately recommend and will come back. We stayed in the smaller, oldest of cabins, which was reflected in the price. If coming back we would stay in the newer bigger cabins. Perfect for families and people who love fishing. A playground would have been a big bonus but apart from that. The views and facilities are great. Cabin was immaculate and beds were extremely comfortable

The area is beautiful!
The area is beautiful! We did not spend much time in surrounding towns - I chose the location based on it's proximity to Kilkenny and the type of accommodation. I had hoped to stay in a castle while in Ireland but that was not possible so this manor house was a nice substitue.

Olive is lovely...very friendly, kind and welcoming. We were attending a wedding in Leighlinbridge and she very generously gave us a lift to the hotel, so we could leave our car at the apartment. She also provided the essentials for breakfast. We plan to stay with her again in the autumn. Thanks a million, Olive

Carlow town is a hidden gem.
Carlow town is a hidden gem. Beautiful town artisan and public building architecture. Clean, bright public areas, wonderful recreational open spaces and a vibrant, pleasant night life with lovely eateries and pubs. We were on a working conference weekend and our stay was too short. We will visit again, next time for longer and for leisure to fully enjoy Carlow town and its surrounding areas.

We love the Irish countryside, loved our time there, even had mostly very good weather. The Mount Wolseley complex is great, good food, great golf. People were friendly and nice in the area, we found everything we needed.

Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow.
Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow. Borris House and its surrounds give great character to the place. Plenty of scenic views in the area. The old railway viaduct trail at the bottom of the village is worth a visit.
