We had a wonderful stay at volgelkopf resort! It’s hard to express with a few words how friendly, hospitable and helpful everyone was for us 🥰 the venue is well-designed, rooms comfortable and there’s everything what’s needed to have a great holiday. And the food deserves a special attention. Everyday we could enjoy a big variety of Indonesian dishes prepared by exquisite chef Melisa. Each dish was amazing and you could feel that there was a lot of heart put into preparing them 😊

Terimakasih homestay is situated in Pulau Mansuar and offers a private beach area, a garden and a terrace. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

This my second time staying here. Absolutely love it! The Homestay is well maintained, and very clean. Food is very diverse and delicious. All the staffs are well trained and really kind. The day trip with Esni was absolutely fantastic. This lady was whispering to Mantas again, that’s why we always knew the right place to wait for mantas. We saw so many things: Mantas, Turtles, Sharks, Cuttlefish and many beautiful corals! Even at the jetty of the Homestay you can see turtles and walking sharks. Thank Andy for this wonderful homestay. Dear James and family, Thank you so much for making our stay in Batanta so comfortable. We will always remember your kindness, our adventure at the waterfall and swimming with manta rays 🫶🏻 The home stay is exactly as described, really comfortable bed, cold water to shower and wonderful panorama. In front of the stay there is a coral reef where you can snorkel. We saw nurse sharks, stingrays, thousands of fish and beautiful coral formations. Somedays also dolphins visited us. If you wish you can do other activities like going to the nearby village which is one of the last traditionally built one in raja ampat. We went with James to swim with manta rays which was a great success as we saw two circling around for at least half an hour. Also, there are two waterfalls with a beautiful mangrove forest which is 30 mins by boat, we swam there and saw a bit of the jungle. The food was excellent, we were really happy to try local fish. It always had enough veggies, rice and egg tortillas. Even our vegetarian friends were satisfied. For the afternoon coffee we got freshly baked cakes. PRO tips for travelers: - Bring your own snorkeling equipment - Don’t litter and take your trash back with you to Waisai. At the port you can throw it away. - Be mindful about water usage - Use biodegradable hygiene products if possible - They don’t speak much English but for us it made it the experience even more authentic. if you need get an offline translation app

I absolutely loved this homestay! it was beautiful and comfortable and fantastic. Lucky and his family are very kind and generous. their attention to every detail really makes them stand out from all the other homestays. also the food is absolutely incredible!! cant wait to come back soon! 10 star reccomendation for sure! the snorkeling around the island is amazing too, and they organize really great daytrips at very reasonable prices.

We much MUCH preferred Corepen Dive people that came to pick us up, were friendly and knowledgeable and accommodated our desires. We disliked Tarzan Dive Center which is more like a factory where the owners and her crew were just bored to death on each dive ( with the exception of the charming Merilla). Verdict: Friwen Mangrove Eco Lodge is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and eco-conscious comfort. Highly recommend!
