We wanted somewhere different to spend Christmas and came across Valhalla house online, the house was as amazing as it looks in the pictures and was right on the beach that you have to yourself! The house was clean & comfortable and had everything we needed - water, towels, cooking facilities etc! As the island was quite remote we were struggling to find how to get there and get around but Marcelo, the host, went above and beyond to help us out with flights and ferries. His communication was great, and he gave us some great food recommendations as well as a contact for surf lessons, which we all really enjoyed on Christmas day, and was just so helpful with all of the questions we had! Marcelo also put us in touch with a local, Dolman, who drove us to and from the airport, even though the roads were bad he made it so easy for us to get around by providing bikes at a really good price. Overall we had an amazing stay at Valhalla and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time on a paradise island, surrounded by local culture, beautiful beaches and lots surfing!!

We had an incredible stay at this hostel. A room right by the ocean, amazing local hospitality, and breakfast on the beach every morning. Everyone went above and beyond to make our 8-night stay unforgettable. From snorkeling activities and fish BBQs on the beach to scooter rentals, everything was perfect. Our stay has been so magical at lances left surf camp! Bob has been such an amazing host. The bungalows are brand new and only a few steps away from the ocean. Everything we needed was provided; scooters, surfboards, towels, fresh drinks and coconuts and even a little tour through Katiet by Bob who showed us local restaurants and surf spots. You will wake up every morning to the sound of the waves and a home cooked breakfast by the hosts which alternated every day and was absolutely delicious. The vibe there is so lovely and authentic, we can truly recommend staying there! All the famous surf spots are easy accessible by scooter, the beach right in front of the surf camp is perfect for beginner surfers and lovely for a swim or big beach walk. We had the best time and would definitely come back!

Perfect location: right by a stunning beach, in the village so not too remote and not far from the harbour, yet quiet and relaxing. The room is nice and air conditioned with a comfortable bed, there’s a big terrace too. The lady who runs the place and her staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming. They helped us with absolutely everything we needed and asked for.

We stayed here at the end of september as non surfers for 5 nights to relax after Bukit Lawang / Berastagi / Lake Toba. This place is truly paradise, beaches so beautiful we have only seen in dreams before. Only a few meters from the bungalows, which were pretty, very clean and comfortable. Owner Iker en manager Javvi and all the other staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was very good as well, you could tell and taste they put an effort in every dish! Rented a scooter to explore the island and visited perfect deserted beaches and went swimming in the sea at the beach on the resort every day. We really had an incredible experience at La Belle Hollow trees.
