Sanur like other places in Bali is busy, but the new Icon shopping centre has everything one needs, of course there is still Arte Sedana the traditional balinese shop, with the Peri Plus Bookstore. The new Icon Bali Shopping Mall is wonderful and opens out at one end onto the Beach. Lovely restaurants and Cafes and also Some High End shops for the Rich Tourists!! However, the road and pedestrian Footpaths out front on the main road ( Jalan Danau Tamblingan) are appalling. Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer. There is history, culture, good food and places with open space, great views and room to walk if you know where to look. It's also a great base from which you can visit other areas and enjoy unique experiences with little travel time. I love Sanur this is my 3rd time staying in Sanur its quieter than Kuta & Seminyak however there is still plenty to do.
