Amazing place with even greater staff. Everyone was going above and beyond. The hospitality by every staff member was overwhelming. Our room was great, would’ve needed a few touch ups here and there though. But it didn’t bother us at all! Breakfast options were amazing, if you can pass on cheese or ham. You’ll have great options from the menu as well as a nice little buffet, fresh fruit and an egg station to get every egg dish you can imagine. Also the dining options aren’t overpriced. Short walk to the beach and Seminyak Square. No party people. It was really quiet.

FAQs about hotels in Bali

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

The island’s capital is Denpasar in the south, but its surf and party capital is nearby Kuta. Swaying palm trees line the beach here and many more cover the grounds of the Bali hotels on the beach in more exclusive Seminyak to the north.

On the island’s north coast, Pemuteran beach offers lovely views of the sloping mountains heading towards the Bali Sea. Many beaches on this coast are black sand, including sweeping Lovina beach from where dolphins can often be seen. Tulamben in the east is one of the better diving resorts in Bali, while Sanur is a popular option for families.

Ubud is the island’s cultural capital and houses a monkey sanctuary in its jungle-like landscape. An ancient Hindu temple is found here, but the best-known temple is Tanah Lot, surrounded by water. There are also hundreds of fantastic spas in Bali, as well as meditation and yoga classes that you can join.

Whether you choose to stay inland or by the beautiful coastline, Booking.com has a great range of villas, guest houses and hotels in Bali.

With the congestion near the palace, the traffic flow is hellish. At thew wrong time of day, you barely move. Even walking is an issue as it was Very busy during our stay. I enjoyed our time there, but would spend less than the 5 days we had there. In saying that, we have been here before

Sadly Kuta has become it's own worst enemy ..It started as an outstanding place for Australians in particular to visit. Genuine Indonesian to its core. Now..:it is a caricature of itself..: I understand totally, their need to take advantage, financially of tourism. But it's an awful spot...impossible to walk anywhere 'unmolested' to buy something you don't need ,etc. IF you want a good 'party' spot..Kuta's your place. For mine..that's the only reason anyone would go/stay there. Plenty of other good beaches right around Bali..I suspect pollution on many is a problem. Plus traffic congestion in Kuta ..: common complaint but just one MORE thing which has made Kuta as bad an example as is possible of a once great place to STAY become one to avoid at all costs. ..brutal. Impossible (?) to widen the streets ?! For sure, probably. Personally..: I don't care ..: if/when return to Bali..: would 'transit' in Kuta. Overall the people are outstanding. Wonderful/beaut people. The grab for money's been Kuta's downfall.

this is an up and coming area in Bali. it looks like it will be upmarket from the shops, bars and restaurants that are already there. Its very busy and the traffic is hectic ( as is everywhere in Bali). Its a younger persons place as plenty of parties and activities. Would recommend to anyone under 40 that wants a hip vibe and action. if your older stick to Sanur

Great place.

Great place. Lots of excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches nearby. My favourite was Nyang Nyang Beach which is easy to reach. It's a sandy beach with great waves for surfing. Swimming is a bit more tricky as the bottom is rocky and the currents can be a bit challenging. There is a bar for refreshment and the beach is spacious and doesn't feel crowded. Uluwatu attracts lots of surfers and that's a bit the vibe that you get here.

Nusa Penida is a wild island, there are stunning views and beaches. It is not easy to wonder around. Roads are bad and it is not the best if you are not an expert with the scouter, in that case you will need to use the local drivers. I suggest Crystal Bay, and Klingking Beach (for sure). If you got to do the snorkeling with the Manta Rays go early, later it is really crowded. Consider that it takes long time to go in the main point of interests.

Bali in general, is overrated!

Bali in general, is overrated! Marketing, movies and other things give us a different impression about Bali. In some isolated spots, you can find clean beaches and water, etc In general, it is full of resorts and hotels; the place is overcrowded with no planning, reflecting on the traffic/roads, which is horrible, and the beaches are polluted. It's my 3rd time there, but I know what I'm signing up for. My first time I was imagining Bali as the advertisement (tropical paradise). Is not! For me, is all about the resort where I'm staying. And price.

I loved so many things!

I loved so many things! The meals were much better than expected and compared very favorably with expensive resort restaurants we also visited. The view of the bay and the huge waves in the distance was fantastic. I sat watching them from the pool deck and the dining area for hours each day. The property is beautifully landscaped and kept immaculately clean. The property manager and his wife are super helpful - really above and beyond anything expected. The bed in the cottage was firm and very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. Only drawback might be that the property is a bit remote - about a 10 minute taxi ride from the city and harbor. For me this was fine. I like quiet and restful and this fulfilled my expectations perfectly. it was easy to get a taxi to the snorkeling and dining establishments, but the property was away from the crowds. It's a romantic location. But if your passion is parties and exciting city life, this might be a bit remote.
