We were there as a family of two adults and three kids, and the place could easily accomodate even more people. The location is right by the cozy fishermen‘s haven, a treat to look upon from the house‘s balcony or the terrase. Going to the beach is a ~5 min walk along the water (entry free of charge, and having the necessary facilities as well as a nice bar). The water in this „fjord“ is warmer and saltier than in the open sea - which actually makes swimming more pleasant. The hause has air condition (except one bedroom) and absolutely everything that a family needs during 1-2 vacation weeks. The hosts, Bogdan and Milena, are VERY hospitable, helpful and friendly people. We are looking forward to come back the next time!Guest review byMyroslavGermany

Lovely location with fantastic views , lots of faded elegance. It’s a place that was obviously frequented by rich tourists,but time has moved on and sadly now lots of the buildings are incredibly shabby. The restaurants are of a good standard,and the fish is excellent. Rijeka is my place of birth and Love it however I did have a bad experience with the accommodation and the people person on the phone line. Overall building maintenance is important if you are having a appartement for lease. It will reflect the overall rating. Crikvenica is the biggest beach resort town in the Kvarner region, with a choice of pebble, sandy or concrete beaches. There are a lot of facilities along the beaches - bars, restaurants, child amusement etc. There is also a problem - the city is overcrowded in the summer. A dense traffic, lack of space on the beaches, lack of parking spaces. This is the closest coastal city to Zagreb and many other cities in the northern Croatia, so there are obviously a lot of one day visitors.Guest review byBojanCroatia - 8.0

Great little town as it was in early 2000s has expanded (markets, fast foods, bars and ATMs every 100m) since my yung party times here :).... so dont expect butique local stone little town but place prepared for mass of party yungsters. It is a huge overcrowded party place during high season, and nice little town off season. Malinska has a very long coast line with a multitude of beaches, from stony and secluded to small pebbles good for children. A picturesque center with a lot of eateries and bakeries, large grocery stores where you can buy excellent meats and fruits. Beautiful and historic seaside town with amazing scenery around it. We were there off season but it was sleepy without much to do. We visited the Nehaj Fortress which includes a museum and rooftop views of the sea and town. The beaches in the area are typically small and rocky. Stayed in the old town which is a gem of a place, on a peninsula with lovely winding alleyways and churches. So well maintained and clean. No litter or graffiti and everything picture perfect! And there were good places to swim on small beaches below the bell towers. There was also a large sandy bay about 10 mins walk outside the old town near the Valamar hotel. We ate at the beachside bar on the seaside promenade in the old town ( at the bottom of the cliff), they did great veggie food and other options.
