San Canzian is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Croatia. We stayed in the three bedroom villa which was modern and luxurious without being characterless or out of place with its surroundings. The staff were friendly and endlessly accommodating. Our children were 1, 5 and 9 when we visited and the staff always made sure we were looked after. The restaurant was also very good and the concierge extremely helpful with suggestions for places to eat and activities we all enjoyed. We would love to go back.

It is a very cozy residence with nice unblocked views over the vineyards. Was pleasantly surprised by the free access to the spa relaxation room which was a truly wonderfully touch. Most importantly- very hospitable staff. We were late and missed the wine tasting. But the staff Alexandra was still kind enough to arrange an enjoyable private tasting for us.

My 4th stay here, so I can only repeat: I have been traveling in Croatia since many years - meanwhile in all 21 counties (županije incl. Zagreb) - and I must have stayed in more than 30 different guesthouses and hotels. From the smallest family pension in the countryside to large 4-star hotels. And the Boutique Hotel Vela Vrata was one of my very best experiences ever! :D Beautiful, lovely decorated house and very clean room with nice furniture. This time I treated myself to the Junior Suite with balcony and the large room with its beautiful antique mirror is really a hit! Very friendly staff, SUPER breakfast with fresh and high quality food from a large selection!!! :D Well working WiFi, free parking and I also like the big indoor pool very much. Buzet itself is very romantic and beautiful. This time I have stayed for two nights on my way home to Dalmatia. The Hotel has a really supreme restaurant and it was wonderful to eat again one of the best dinner I had ever in Croatia. Another perfect stay and I will quite sure stay here again. Hvala vama od srca!

A beautiful property with a view of the surrounding hills and olive groves. Just idyllic. Our room was a nice size with a very comfortable bed with really nice linens. Great shower! The elevator is a welcome amenity -- we'd been lugging our bags up stairs for 10 days and it was a nice change ! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely -- fruit, pastries, meat & cheese, local honey, eggs, good coffee. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds -- it was a little chilly to use the pool. We didn't eat dinner in their restaurant, but we ate at their casual place up the street -- delicious pizza.
