Excellent location within walking distance to main Fira market, albeit a small stressfull climb. Host was excellent & provided us all the infomation needed. Checked us in & gave all the instructions needed. The outdoor Hot Tub Jacuzzi was great & so was the steam room & we still miss it. Host was over courteous & even gave us a free breakfast on the last day. Breakfast was excellent & good qulaity & quantity. Rooms are well planned & secluded from each other offering good privacy. Housekeeping was good & clean. We still miss Cycladic suites & would like to visit again.

The entire complex was spotlessly clean. The pool was sparkling. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nothing was an issue. They allowed us a late check out and arranged a super tour for us. They had awesome follow up to any queries we had. Close to the beach and restaurants.

I had a truly wonderful experience! Everything was perfectly organized, and I felt comfortable and welcomed from the very beginning. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and a level of hospitality that brought tears to our eyes. Stepping out onto the terrace and seeing the breathtaking Aegean Sea, bathed in golden sunlight, was a memory we’ll carry forever. And the breakfast—oh, the breakfast! Property Owner was there to personally welcome us… They have wonderfully kind and helpful staff. Extremely underrated location- two steps from the beach, as well as 20+ restaurants along the beachfront. Kindly upgraded our room with zero additional costs, housekeeping was prompt and swift every morning. Ended up extending our stay here for an additional week, the experience was so good.

The place is in excellent location, within a cute village with beautiful views. Wonderful sunset view itself from the rooftop of the hotel!! Everything is new and just like on the pictures, I couldn’t get enough of the style and effortless elegance of this place. Breakfast of very good quality, healthy and super tasty. But most importantly though, Esra - the host, is so helpful and so nice! When we arrived, Esra gave us all the support we needed, and stayed available at all times. This place really was a highlight of our stay in Santorini!

A Greek Island Dream

Imagine a typical Greek island with whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and sloping cliffs, and the chances are that you’re thinking of Santorini. Protectively curving around 4 other islands in its archipelago, this volcanic island has fertile ground bringing forth lovely rosé wine and some of the sweetest cherry tomatoes you’ll ever taste.

High on a caldera shelving into the sea, the capital Fira overlooks the cruise liners plying the turquoise Aegean waters below. North is Imerovigli, home to several 5-star Santorini hotels with fantastic views.

Also providing amazing views is the accommodation in Oia across the bay. Cascading down the slopes, the sea of white here is only dispersed by vibrant pink flowers, blue domes and the brown of ancient windmills, all becoming black silhouettes as the sun sets.

Santorini Airport is on the other side of the island and 2 resorts south of it – Kamari and Perissa – have the best, black sand beaches. However, the most visually impressive is Red Beach at Akrotiri where the stunning red colour of the caldera and sand makes the trek down the rockface well worth it. Just time it right to avoid high tide! Also near Akrotiri are excavations of a Minoan era settlement.

    The hospitality from all the employees. Me and my partner got engaged during our trip. The hotel staff did everything to make sure we had an even more memorable trip. From a special table in the hotel restaurant Mavro with a beautiful dinner, to a boat trip to celebrate our engagement. Apostolia, Thanasis, Kostantinos & Aris thank you very much for everything!     Lovely hotel close to the main square of Fira. Excellent location, fabulous breakfast, beautiful pool area with sea views. Nicely decorated, spotlessly clean room. Excellent service with an outstanding staff. Highly recommended.

    It is very expensive to eat out, so you will need to shop around. If you stay away from the restaurants with a view, you can see a big difference in the prices if you go a street or two below for the same food. Bring runners with you as you will do alot of walking and the paths are not great so no heels. Beware of roads as they do not have the same rules (no rules) as your own country.

    Crowded with cruise ship visitors but only during mid-point of day. Once we figured out layout, easy to get around. Lots of stairs, so be prepared. All was welcoming. Especially all the tours and guides. Wine-tasting and catamaran tours great. E-bike was a bit more difficult than I anticipated - but probably more about my fitness level - not the tour. Tour guide really looked out for me. Santorini exceeded our expectations.

    On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes of caldera, so it has different levels. On the plus side as soon as you leave the hotel you are on the famous Fira/Oia walk - turn right for Fira. You are on the highest part of the caldera so initially it is downhill, also you are close to Skaros rock which is worth visiting for the views and has a church partially hidden on the seaward side at a slightly lower elevation. As long as you can look to the sea you will have great sunset views wherever you are,my hotel patio was great for this.

    The beach is fine, enough place for everyone, but I would not stay there longer than one day beacause the sand is only on the beach and when you enter the sea there is only lava. It was interesting experience, but I would definitely not recommend especially if you are travelling with children - it is very slippery and it is easy to fall down and hurt yourself on a rock. The place itself is nice but I doubt I will return to such a beach. But that was nice to try at least :D

    Having stayed two weeks in Perissa, I dare say I know it a bit. It's a great mix of not too big of a town, plenty of groceries shopping spots, Restaurants with some great offers, nice beaches (even though one has to get used to black sand) and cultural spots like a very nice Orthodox Church and some historic ruins if you dare to hike a bit. It's wasn't too crowded either, so if you consider going, do so Early - Mid September.

    A village with bakery, gyros place, souvenir shop & good sized mini market. Walkable to Fura though a noisy main road. Buses good too but more value for money the further you are going. Taxis quite expensive so we walked a lot.

    Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Greece is not cheap these days so you have to pay the same as in UK for meals etc. Wine is very expensive but nice to see that they only sell Greek wine in supermarkets and restaurants.

    Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me.

    Firostefani was a good choice of Santorini location for me. Even at the end of the season, the main town of Fira was overcrowded with cruise ship visitors every day, and had some very high prices in the shops and restaurants. Firostefani is only a mile from Fira centre with good communications but is less crowded and (slightly) less expensive. There are plenty of restaurants in Firostefani, the two I liked best were Onar and Aktaion. Also there was a good, reasonably priced take-away called Why Not. Firostefani (and many areas of Santorini) has small mini-markets but no good supermarket. Anyone self-catering would find food shopping expensive and with limited choices. My hotel (Villa Ilias) like many others in Firostefani had spectacular views over the caldera.

    the location is not what it seams, it is just between the main road and other construction sites or empty fields, with no nice view. Overrated prices on booking.com compared with the reception prices or any other nice hotels even in Oia.
