The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and elegant, and everything from the toilet seat to the bathroom doors themselves were “soft closing”. The breakfast was ample and delicious, and they brewed an outstanding pour-over coffee. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

Absolutely amazing place. The hotel located in the middle of the Taygatos mountain, not far from Kalamata, is incredibly comfortable. After a beautiful visit of Mystras, the way through the mountain to get to Denthis hotel is breath taking. We were welcome by the three most adorable, smiling and welcoming ladies who immediately did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. We had the most comfortable modern hotel on one hand and the charm of a family hotel feel from those ladies on the other hand, and that was magical. Being able to swim in the pool after a hot and exhausting day was so invigorating. The breakfast is varied, generous and delicious, served on a terrace with a nice mountain view. Very nice dinner too. The Suite bedroom is a must, spacious, high-quality linen and cushions, very comfortable, with a large terrace. We slept like babies. Our 10 years old son loved the place and the kindness of the staff. We will definitely be back, but we will stay more than one night this time. A big thank you and bravo to the Denthis ladies!

This is a very nice hotel located on a small hilltop facing Methoni and the surrounding area. The views from the room's terrace are fantastic, as well as from the breakfast and pool areas. The apartment was very spacious with all the needed amenities, as well as two bathrooms. The breakfast had enough variety, with some very tasty fresh pastries. The pool is large and has great views. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and would stay again if we are in the area.

good hotel on the edge of town but a short walk from restaurants etc don't get fooled by the location, the nearest beach is a 4km drive but it's no problem. breakfast was varied and plenty full. there is an on site salt water pool, I found it a bit chilly!, there is a well equipped gym in the basement. if your looking at another hotel in town this is the better option ;)

    Kalamata is a good base for a relaxing holiday, especially the Pharae hotel regular buses to the town, flat walk along the beach, buses at end of season get less, hiring a car several nearby areas well worth exploring or even a one night stay, depending on your interests

    Great location, superb views from everywhere in the town, which has a nice square, great museum of Navarino battle, boat trips around the bay. a wonderful castle and good tavernas ideal for those looking for the real Greece. There is so much within range: Voidokillia beach is a must as is Methoni, both within 20 minutes drive. The Bay golf club is minutes away. A little further are Nestor's palace and the fishing village of Koroni and 90 minutes away is the superb archaeological site of Ancient Messene. Pylos is within in an hour of Kalmata airport

    Stoupa is stunning , plenty of restaurants, you can buy basics on the sea front and a large well stocked supermarket on the main road, everyone is super friendly. Taxis are available but hit and miss however the first resturant you come to with the steps will order a taxi for you , I just loved it and going back next year

    The local Taverna along Artaki bay has excellent traditional food and the best view of the bay and Koroni. We loved to walk through the little streets and steps going up to the castle and monastry with lovely views over Koroni and Zaga beach the other side that you can walk to.

    Majestic with a castle and the crystal blue waters as a backdrop. Methoni is for everyone - it has history, beach, shopping, friendly and welcoming people and amazing food. I highly recommend making a reservation at Castro (a reservation because you will not get a table unless you do) for a delightful cuisine and spectacular view at sunset. You will not regret it. I also recommend the Rex right by the beach. Excellent food. Enjoy!

Also, famous places in less than an hour drive (Voidokoilia Beach, Costa Navarino hotels, Foinikounta, Pylos, etc.).     All the villas give you the privacy of having your own relaxing space near a very popular beach. Each villa has a garage for your car which allows the car to be protected and kept cool during the day. The villas are kept clean and serviced daily. Above all you have Konstantina which is your host and she is always willing to assist you with anything which you may require. There are many restaurants within a 5 km radius of the property. You are close to one of Greece's most famous beaches Voidokoilia and also Gialova which has many restaurants and bars.     From Gialova you can easily reach many beaches, we liked Divari, Voidokilia, Peroulia, Lambes, Foinikounta. You can eat extremely well at Elia in Gialobva, Riki at Marathopolis. Unfortunately we experienced a lot of days with high winds so the sea was not calm, although beautiful to watch, like in Ammothines.
