This place was excellent. I had a big room with a comfy bed, air conditioning, kitchenette and large balcony. Staff were wonderful - answered all my questions and very friendly. The pool is amazing with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. I did not have breakfast included but I did pay for it one morning and the selection was great. Very typical Greek breakfast assortment. (Cost 9 €) The property is a good 20 minute walk to town - which I didn’t mind, but something to be aware of especially on a hot day.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and it was amazing! The apartment was clean, quiet and we found everything we needed. The location of the apartment is perfect with a breathtaking view over the valley. If this is not enough, you can get to all the best view points within a 5 minutes walk. The traditional taverna is right next to the apartment and the food is very good and cheap. Marina, the host, treated us as friends, we really felt at home!

What a magical place! One of our best accommodations on the island! I choose it for the perfect sunset - and we had THE perfect sunset on our terrace. Fully equipped apartment with really everything what you need. Well….beside the WiFi connection. But she’s working on it - so better enjoy the sunset as starring in your phone. Wonderful host. I was picked up at the port, and driven all the way to the hotel, an hour drive, without charge, and to my big surprise the breakfast was included in. I felt at home the second I entered the premisses, and was treated as a family-member my entire stay. The beach is 100 m from the hotel, and Nikos offers several boattrips to different locations on the island every week. This place is rare! This family is NOT it this industry for the money, but because of the love for having guests. Most of their guests does not bother to go anywhere else, but keep returning year, after year, and you can tell by the atmosphere at the breakfast, were we all interact. This is the famous greek filoxenia at its best!

The hostess and her entire family, who are in charge and reside in the building, were extraordinarily kind and attentive to our requests. We skipped breakfast because we preferred to make it ourselves. Still, the view from the balcony was incredible. Every morning, that view motivated us to start the day in the best way. Also, we enjoyed our homemade happy hours, watching the sunset in this part of the island. An amazing experience!

We stayed for three nights at the brand-new Sunrise Apartments in Karpathos and had a wonderful experience. We were among the very first guests, and everything felt fresh and modern, with stylish furniture and excellent facilities. The hostess, Anna, was exceptionally welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal — peaceful yet conveniently close to everything, and it offers beautiful views. Free parking is also available, making it even more convenient for those with a car. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and warm hospitality in Karpathos.

This was one of the most fantastic vacations of my life! The villa is perfectly located on the west side of the island. With sprawling views of the sea and sunset before you and of the craggy mountainside behind. Far from other buildings and villages it offers privacy and only the sounds of crashing waves and the wind. Yet only a few minutes by car to scenic beaches and adorable tavernas. The beaches we enjoyed most were located a few kilometers north. Clean, uncrowded, with none of the trappings of mass tourism. Every local we came in contact with was charming, polite, talkative, eager to share a story and give tips about their beautiful island. The food was rustic and homegrown, sometimes in the taverna owner's own field. Some dishes we had were the best we ever tasted. Karpathos is one of those magical places seemingly untouched by the hustle of modern society, there is an innocence and warmth seldom encountered. In my opinion the most beautiful island in the Aegean, I could rave about it at length. There are no words to fully express how wonderful this stay was. One week was not enough and we fully intend to come back and stay at Arpathea. Special thanks to the lovely Evdoxia who managed the reception, she went far and beyond to make our stay pleasant!

A beautiful hotel in a remote beach area. Perfect for those looking to unwind and love the sun and sea. Gorgeous pathways from the hotel that lead to many little beaches and bays to swim. There a little taverns and mini markets scattered around the area, however the hotel has a fantastic restaurant with delicious food with great offerings. I really enjoyed our daily breakfast we were spoilt for choice, especially loved the home grown figs. The town center is a 10 minute taxi drive or you can catch the bus. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My advice if wanting to visit the villages or other towns book a day or two ahead with reception as the island is remote taxis can be limited when it’s peak season. Overall I would stay again at this Beautiful hotel.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and spacious enough for real cooking. The terrace offers views of both the mountains and the sea, while the surrounding gardens are filled with beautiful, fragrant flowers and fruit trees. Potali Bay – just a two-minute walk away – is charming and peaceful, though not ideal for swimming, as the shifting tide easily stirs pebbles underfoot. However, there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby to choose from – some perfect for children, others for nature lovers – all within a few minutes’ drive.

The villas are extremely comfortable and spacious, have all the amenities you need and are perfect for a completely relaxing stay within walking distance of beautiful beaches. The villas are beautifully decorated and the outdoor space is excellent. The area is exceptionally quiet but just a couple of kilometres from Pigadia so lots of restaurants etc within easy reach. We stayed for 1 week and found it to be the perfect place to completely switch off and chill. Already trying to plan a return trip!

Anastasia is a kind and generous hostess. She has a beautiful garden. The apartment is well designed - it is airy, spacious and feels private. There is a beautiful view of Potali Bay from the balcony. It is a quiet location, but with a hire car suitable for exploring the island. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Potali Bay Hotel was open all day during our stay and offered good food and snacks. The beach at Lefkos is superb for swimming.

The hotel was exceptional. It has an excellent location, everything is spotless, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything in the hotel works perfectly, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The bar and snack restaurant are 10/10. They also offer great deals on car rentals, and the pool is fantastic.

We had chosen a sea view suite on the 3rd floor. Everything was absolutely clean. The staff was very polite and gave us the room an hour before the estimated check in time . Breakfast, which was serving from seven to 10 o’clock every morning with a variety of products.

Nothing pretty or spectacular about the town, it’s just a nice Greek port with restaurants around the bay, various shops further on, supermarkets and great gyros and coffee bakery’s, it’s a really lovely island, nice people and great beaches.

Olympos is a traditional village in the northern part of Kaprathos, about 50 klms from the airport/harbour and it takes about 1:30-1:50 mins to drive there. The view from Olympos is magnificent, especially in the west part, where you can enjoy the sunset. It's very quiet and even in the hottest summer days, it's not hot!

Arkasa is a lovely, quiet (at least in June) town next to one of the nicest beaches in Greece and beyond, Saint Nicholas Beach. It is a short drive from the airport and from other lovely beaches, including Lefkos and Finiki, where you can also find excellent fish and seafood restaurants. Arkasa has several nice tavernas, cafes and pastry shops to spend time in, several mini markets, and plenty of parking for visitors. You can also enjoy a beautiful sunset from here. It is about a 20-30 minute drive from the main town, Pigadia, and a shorter drive to villages like Menetes, Pyles and Othos.

Lack of taxis, buses, decent beaches were downsides. No ATM, one small shop and unreliable ferry service were others. 2 days if you wanted to visit Olympos would be adequate, 3 at best. The only ATM was a Euronet one in Olympos with the associated rip off charges for withdrawing cash. It's badged as a normal bank machine with just small Euronet badges. Beware.

Karpathos Town is the hub of the island. Here are the best shops, a good selection of restaurants and all the transport connections. The buses are a bit limited but there is a good range of boat trips and ferries to choose from.

An amazing village with great history and unique Greek...

An amazing village with great history and unique Greek Easter celebrations. Good Friday, Saturday and Tuesday (right after the Easter Sunday) the whole village participates to the events and celebrations. It is an experience you should have at least once.

The activities one can do are countless.

The activities one can do are countless. Swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, hiking, sea cruises. A lot small pebble beaches, sometimes accessible only from the sea. For the sea cruise to Saria island, we more than enjoyed the trip with Captain Manolis boat. The rocks in the water are sometimes sharp and slippery, so sea footwear is a good option. For hiking is better to have sturdy shoes and durable long trousers. The Dolphins restaurant allows to taste the fish and seafood pulled out of water the very same day. We have never eaten better shrimps than there. The tavern owners are very kind, empathizing and generous. The prices are more than favorable. Other restaurant to recommend is Rahati. The owners are nice, the food is delicious with every time a bit extra, plus the sea side view.

Not actually in Karpathos Town, but the village of Arkasa. It was a lively small Greek village with everything you could need. Easy walk to neighbouring Finiki. Twice weekly bus to beautiful beach at Kato Lefkos. Great walk to unspoilt coves beyond Finiki along coast path.

Beautiful town, extremely friendly people and good standard...

Beautiful town, extremely friendly people and good standard of food in be traditional Greek restaurants. Ate at both Eden Garden (traditional goat great) and To Milos (by the old windmills) which has amazing cliff, sea and sunset views, delicious food and restina wine. Local women still wear traditional embroidery and clothes, but because they all want to. It's not 'put on for be the tourist'. Excellent museum displays the work of local artist who's tells you about the village and his family. Well worth asking for the museum in the platia (main square) Beautiful churches to explore in town. Amazing local bird population. Will return, a part of the old traditional Greece lives on in Olympos.
