GreeceFirst of all the hotel is located above one of the most famous beaches of the island. It is an authentic and typical Aegean style hotel surrounded by the rough landscape of the island. That makes it ideal for people who seek the real character of the island part of Greece.
The room - refurbished in the greek minimal style - was very clean and had everything we needed: toiletries, tea/coffee, beach towels etc. Beds really comfortable.
Under the old lemon tree and olive trees we had an excellent breakfast with fresh juice, handmade bread and marmalade, eggs cooked in many ways etc.
The restaurant was a real surprise for us. We were more than delighted by the dishes, the quality of ingredients and the larger wine list we have ever seen at a greek restaurant! Ingmar, the service manager, made us feel like we were invited at a friend's house.
We tried both fish and meat dishes and they were all superb! The prices are fair enough if you consider that the supplies' network is complicated for a remote island like Karpathos.

CanadaThis place was excellent. I had a big room with a comfy bed, air conditioning, kitchenette and large balcony. Staff were wonderful - answered all my questions and very friendly. The pool is amazing with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.
I did not have breakfast included but I did pay for it one morning and the selection was great. Very typical Greek breakfast assortment. (Cost 9 €)
The property is a good 20 minute walk to town - which I didn’t mind, but something to be aware of especially on a hot day.

ItalyI have set the exptectations for a 2 star hotel with that range of price, but the structure surpassed by a lot my expectation. The position of the hotel is PERFECT, in the center of the biggest city, and with beaches reachable easy on foot. The cleaning was good, the buffet breakfast, for a 2 star hotel, was Excellent, the room big enough with AC in the room. And the Stuff was BRILLIANT to say the least, very helpful and supportive for any kind of request. Oh, and good wi fi everywhere in the structure from the room to the hall. Free wifi by the way.

Everyone staying in Karpathos, should come to see Olympos and even more to stay there for the night.
There is a really special atmosphere at night in Olympos. Village was so quiet.
Accomodation is like an old traditional karpathian house , it looks amazing. I slept very well listening only cats/ donkeys. It's like travelling in the past.
Very relaxing.
Marina and her family are so friendly. They made me feel at home. Also their food was amazing. Meanwhile at the balcony-terrace you can see them cooking your meal and you enjoy the view on the valley.
If one day I come back to Karpathos/ Olympos, I will try to stay here again.

A beautiful hotel in a remote beach area. Perfect for those looking to unwind and love the sun and sea. Gorgeous pathways from the hotel that lead to many little beaches and bays to swim. There a little taverns and mini markets scattered around the area, however the hotel has a fantastic restaurant with delicious food with great offerings. I really enjoyed our daily breakfast we were spoilt for choice, especially loved the home grown figs. The town center is a 10 minute taxi drive or you can catch the bus.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. My advice if wanting to visit the villages or other towns book a day or two ahead with reception as the island is remote taxis can be limited when it’s peak season. Overall I would stay again at this Beautiful hotel.

It doesn´t happen often that I award an accomodation facility with the highest rating, but in this case I can do it with the best conscience. The studios are simply equiped, but cosy, well mantained and clean, obviously loyal to the local folk style. The balconies provide a nice view over an olive orchard with a bay in the background. The bay, hosting a beach, can be reached on foot within two minutes, other beaches can be found in the center of Lefkos, also within walking distance. Wi-fi works quite well, but sometimes gets slower. The overall positiv impression is further amplified by the landlord and his wife, and older greek married couple, providing a glimpse of the gentle hellenic spirit and hospitality. I hope to get an opportunity to come again.

The hotel has an excellent location in Pigadia, only two minutes walking from the beach. There is also a big market conveniently located next to the hotel.
The facilities were always spotless, and the room was huge and even had a small kitchen. But the star of the hotel is the couple that runs it - they are so lovely and helpful! Will definitely stay there again when going back to Karpathos

Amazing! The sea view and the pool were beautiful, the room was super clean and the staff was so helpful and friendly! Fully recommended ! Also, it is located in a more quiet and stunning part of the island close to Finiki village which has amazing taverns!

Nothing pretty or spectacular about the town, it’s just a nice Greek port with restaurants around the bay, various shops further on, supermarkets and great gyros and coffee bakery’s, it’s a really lovely island, nice people and great beaches.

Arkasa is a lovely, quiet (at least in June) town next to one of the nicest beaches in Greece and beyond, Saint Nicholas Beach. It is a short drive from the airport and from other lovely beaches, including Lefkos and Finiki, where you can also find excellent fish and seafood restaurants. Arkasa has several nice tavernas, cafes and pastry shops to spend time in, several mini markets, and plenty of parking for visitors. You can also enjoy a beautiful sunset from here. It is about a 20-30 minute drive from the main town, Pigadia, and a shorter drive to villages like Menetes, Pyles and Othos.

Olympos is a traditional village in the northern part of Kaprathos, about 50 klms from the airport/harbour and it takes about 1:30-1:50 mins to drive there. The view from Olympos is magnificent, especially in the west part, where you can enjoy the sunset. It's very quiet and even in the hottest summer days, it's not hot!

Kyra Panagia offers stunning views, lovely beach with small stones and warm turquoise water, great food at Sophia’s Taverna, free parking, and a charming church. There are also many beautiful apartments and villas to stay at.
Downsides: expensive sun beds, sometimes it can get busy, the road from Pigadia is 20 mins but quite difficult for beginner drivers, and there's only one pricey mini market.

I liked the beach.
I liked the beach. The sand is soft and the sea calm and shallow. There are few places to eat but enough for us. We had dinner usually at Calypso restaurant. The food was good ant the staff friendly. There is also a cocktail bar named Pebbles which is excellent. they offer very nice special cocktails. they have live music shows every Friday evening. the cocktails are a little expensive but the wine and beer prices ar mostly reasonable. In general Amoopi is a very quiet place. far from the crows and perfect for a relaxed vacation.

Lack of taxis, buses, decent beaches were downsides. No ATM, one small shop and unreliable ferry service were others. 2 days if you wanted to visit Olympos would be adequate, 3 at best. The only ATM was a Euronet one in Olympos with the associated rip off charges for withdrawing cash. It's badged as a normal bank machine with just small Euronet badges. Beware.

We liked it as it was a quieter island than some of the others and we like to discover new places.
We ate at Poseidon blue for dinner and breakfast both of which were great .
You do need a car or bike unless you get taxis around though.
Very windy though on our stay only one day of the 4 was the wind low.

Karpathos Town is the hub of the island.
Karpathos Town is the hub of the island. Here are the best shops, a good selection of restaurants and all the transport connections. The buses are a bit limited but there is a good range of boat trips and ferries to choose from.

An amazing village with great history and unique Greek...
An amazing village with great history and unique Greek Easter celebrations. Good Friday, Saturday and Tuesday (right after the Easter Sunday) the whole village participates to the events and celebrations. It is an experience you should have at least once.
