The apartment is spotlessly clean, quiet, spacious with a good size balcony (we stayed in Afroditi apartment with a sea-view). The location is perfect, especially if you do not have a car. The noisy road can not be heard, but the way from the main road is not long and not steep. Just around the corner there is a great cafe Dentrakia, a small supermarket is also close by, and the center of Vathy with all the nice restaurants, bakeries, cafés and shops are in a 10-minute walk. A gorgeous beach called Dexa is just 12-minute by foot. Hristo, the owner is super friendly, helpful, guest-oriented and very kind, fast in replying, though speaks little English, but the translation apps can help. There was daily cleaning and a change of bed-linen after two days. The kitchen is properly equipped, you can cook, bake, there is a kettle and a toaster, too. In the fridge 2 big bottles of water, and couple of small butter and jams were waiting for us plus a pack of rusk, coffee capsules, tea-bags and sugar. The bathroom is not big, but also very clean, toiletries were provided, the water pressure was perfect and hot water was always available. The air-condition functioned very well, too. We highly recommend to book Iris Apartment which is in a traditional Ionian Ithacan house for your stay in Ithaca.

I always try to give a balanced review and therefore I will start off with the caveat that in order to take advantage of this wonderful property you do need to be fit and able to walk up very steep steps and a multitude of them in the heat carrying your case. However if you can then you are in for a treat. The stone house stands in its grounds looking out over the hills of Ithaca. It has a lovely outside terrace on which to take meals or drinks while listening to the sounds of nature, bliss. I would just say that a couple of loungers out there would make the experience even more special. The interior of the property has been sensitively renovated to a great standard, ensuring that the traditional is blended with the modern. All conveniences there, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee machine and every other kitchen gadget to ensure that siting at the dining table with dinner is easy. The lounge area has a corner suite which is modern and comfortable and if you need your fix of TV this is there for you as well. The air con in every room is new and will get the room cold in under five minutes The two bedrooms are well equipped also and the wardrobe space is ample. The bathroom is big enough and has a fabulous modern shower with ample hot water. You are not far from the middle of Vathy where you will find all the tavernas and restaurants around the welcoming port. I can only say that I would fully recommend this accommodation to the discerning traveller. We loved it.

Beautiful view over the port, comfortable beds and living areas. The owner and his mom were so helpful and responsive. They let us check in early and do a load of washing which helped immensely.

Perfection. Perfect location , perfect place but most important kyria Katerina was a perfect host. If we ever managed to reach Ithace again, we would try to book here again. Very clean , lots of space and has its own parking space. Near to all amenities and just few steps from the harbour. But most important, kyria Katerina was very helpfull during all the time! We loved the donuts on the first morning and all the tips about where to eat/go. Absolute perfect and again many many thanks and hope we are back again soon!!!!!
