The breakfast was great and restaurant team is highly professional, special thanks to Ms Vassiliya, wonderful team member and person. Great food variety and quality. Perfect family holiday: warm sea, great food, and amazing staff We had a wonderful time staying here with our two kids. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, they solved every issue we had quickly and with genuine care. The sea was warm, calm, crystal clear, and full of fish so perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The sunbeds at the beach were comfortable, and there were always enough available, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious every day. Our room was clean, and housekeeping came daily, so everything always felt fresh. The pool was also great, even with a child — we spent a lot of time there. There’s a small workout area with some weights and basic equipment, which was surprisingly functional and useful. Highly recommended!

Terry is the best beach manager, he’s always ready to help you and makes your vacation perfect. Clean, cozy and comfortable rooms! Very helpful and friendly girls on reception. Hotel also provides a private transfer from the Thessaloniki airport. Welcome drink for guests as soon as you arrived. We checked out at 5:30 am and the staff prepared a breakfast boxes for us. Amazing and very rich breakfast! Everybody can find something delicious for their taste. Very nice and pleasant staff at the restaurant Amfora. Definitely it’s the best restaurant in Polychrono! Exceptionally delicious food! You don’t need to go to another places to try traditional food or seafood, they have all these options in their menu. And one more thing that will help you relax and enjoy your vacation, hotel is 16+, so no kids screaming and crying and running around, like in all hotels. Highly recommend Sea Level!

Mainland Greece at its Best

A 3-pronged peninsula to the south-east of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki is best known for its rolling scenery, beautiful beaches and good watersports.

The westernmost prong is the lively Kassandra peninsula. Sani on its west coast is backed by a pine forest and has beautiful sunsets. On the opposite side, Pefkohori’s fantastic beach and calm, shallow waters make it a popular choice for families. Polichrono and Kalithea to the north have a good selection of Halkidiki hotels on the beach, while Afitos has a picturesque Old Town with cobbled streets.

On the quieter Sithonia peninsula, Metamorfosi is a small village with a Blue Flag beach, while Neos Marmaras has a pretty harbour offering boat trips. On the eastern side Vourvourou is very popular and has lovely views of the offshore islands.

An island just off the Mount Athos peninsula is Amolianí which has rocky coastline and wonderful beaches. Across the water is Ouranoupoli whose small fishing harbour is guarded by a 14th-century tower. On the main part of the Halkidiki region, Stavros and Olympiada both sweep around picturesque bays dominated by the lush Cholomontas mountains.

Ouranopoli is small and nice place. A person could find quiet and cozy places or to be at the heart of the city where are located all the restaurants and bars. Beaches are very nice. The water is crystal clear and most of the beaches are with sand. There are lots of entertainments - boat rentals, diving, etc.

Decent place to swim and sunbathe, although among the dirtiest I've seen in Greece. The dirt in the sand is never collected, and people vacationing here are not among the most educated, considering the very low prices. It's weird that not even private beach owners (renters?) bother to clean up the sand at their location. The city is always full of cars, and more seem to be coming every minute. I have never seen so many people driving around such a small place in so many cars. The good news is that all the streets are one way, although you'll see a lot of cars going the wrong way, so be careful, especially at the intersections. Also, there is no genuine Greek taverns in the area, only fast food restaurants. This is literally a food industry, with all restaurants craming tables one on top of another to seat as many customers as possible for the shortest amount of time possible. You can eat good food if you follow Google Maps ratings, but don't expect an authentic experience. It's just business. On the plus side, the restaurants are among the cheapest in Greece, which might explain the kind of people vacationing here and their habits (throwing garbage right next to them, never considering the bins nearby).

If you want to experience real nice place with fabulous sightseeing views long up and down walks with very nice sandy beach at the end of the city and not so far away other beautiful beaches - Neos is jut a right fit! It has the scent of old towns at the cliff but in the same time it has a layers of modernity embroidered throughout the scape. If it is more for young people? Maybe, if you don't like to walk but there is round walk next to the sea side as well... Nice restaurants, small shops just in a proper measure - for vacation that will fulfill you with scents and flavors of Greece.

Nikiti is an ideal town for families with children, especially those aged 1–12. Everything is within walking distance. The beach and sea are perfect for kids, and the restaurants are family-friendly. There are also toy machines for children to play with. However, it might be a bit boring for young couples without kids, as there aren’t many entertainment options such as night clubs or disco bars.

A wonderful old town, with many restaurants, shops, bakeries, snack bars, a nice pedestrian zone, located at a height above the sea. The local two or three beaches are sandy, rather narrow, the sea has an uneven rocky bottom. Going to the beach is easy, because you go downhill, but on the way back there is quite a climb, so for small children and people with limited mobility it is better to use a car.

Our host Ivan was exceptional – always ready to help with advice or organize a restaurant reservation, yet discreet and unobtrusive enough to make us feel completely independent, just like at home. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fruit basket – a kind gesture from the host. The cleanliness and order of the place immediately stood out. It is truly an oasis of peace and enjoyment by the sea. The water is crystal clear, and the beach is beautiful, lively, and full of different attractions. Evenings in Kallithea offer a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and clubs where you can have a wonderful time. Thanks to this place and our host Ivan, we had a truly amazing and unforgettable holiday!

Sani as a location is nice.

Sani as a location is nice. The marina is maintained nicely and the area around the hotels is lovely. The area is one of the most expensive places in Chalkidhiki. The sea is absolutely lovely, sandy and clean. We went to neighbouring places to eat as we didn’t feel like paying £42 for a plate of risotto.

The roads surrounded by lush green trees and the coves we visited were stunning. The sea was beautiful, and the views were breathtaking, though it was a bit crowded. In the evenings, the activity dies down quite early, and the roads become empty around 10 PM, whereas in city centers, the liveliness continues into the night.

Great for families with small children.

Great for families with small children. The thing I didn't like is that accommodations near the beach usually do not have private parking. Our car got damaged by something or someone when we parked on the street.

We were at the very end of the season so it was quiet and lots were closed. You really need to travel around and visit other beachrs in the area. More are prettier than Pefkohori as it is a small town.
