The kindness of the host - Mrs Popi was very helpful , and I really appreciate that. She really took the extra mile , she waited for me at the port , the room was very clean and comfortable, and she had for me a freshly baked banana cake . What could I say about this apartment. Amazing views of the castle and port, beautiful room with nice touches, kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very kind and helpful hosts and amazing breakfast, home baked pastries and cakes which was different everyday! Our stay was excellent, and I highly recommend it if you want to fully experience Greek hospitality and a comfortable stay. The hosts very kindly prepared the room earlier than the check in time for us, we had different pastries for breakfast in our room every day, the room was beautiful, and the place was so quiet and chilled. They took very good care of us, and everyone was very kind, responsive and very helpful whenever we needed help. We loved our stay and we would definitely go back to it! Everything! The room was spacious, modern, clean with all the amenities you could want and need. There was a nice sized balcony too! The bathroom was very contemporary with a huge shower, loved the basin with all the shelving to put your toiletries……all hotel bathrooms should have these! Downside however was the space provided between the toilet and basin….very tight. Loved the added touch of the welcome breakfast pack as well as the wine! The room was exactly as the photos on the website depicted. Very happy, would definitely recommend and stay there again should we ever go back to Astypalea!

Great location in walking distance from the port and Chora. We enjoyed the amazing view to the castle from the veranda-it is exactly as shown in the photos. Brand new, clean and spacious. Also the parking space was very convenient. The host was very polite and the overall service very professional. We will definitely stay in Ydria if we visit Astypalaia again.

    The stay at Melograno Villas was wonderful. We had a very comfortable duplex apartment in a typical Greek style and a lovely hot tub on the terrace with a stunning view of the Kastro. The kindness of Maria and Kali were touching. Every morning with great joy they served us a homemade breakfast with Greek delicacies of all kinds: sweet, savory, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, bacon, exceptional fresh bread. For a week we were served different delicacies every morning, every day a triumph of different flavors from the previous day. Flavors, aromas and recipes linked to the territory. An unforgettable experience like in few places today you can live. Michail welcomed us with great hospitality and drove us back to the airport with amiability like he was a dear friend or relative. An extraordinary family that allowed us to spend a dream week full of beautiful emotions on a magical Greek island.

    The room was clean, tidy, nicely-decorated and comfortable with all kitchen amenities. The hostess, Mrs. Froso, was very kind and hospitable. The room offered no breakfast but some fresh juice, milk, coffee and other products were available that was perfect for a light morning snack! Mrs Froso also facilitated our late departure from the room which allowed us to enjoy our last day in the island. The room was cleaned daily and we also got fresh towels. Not many studios in Greece offer all these services and hospitality! The room has a nice little patio but the inner yard of the property may get a bit noisy. Still though with the windows shut, the room is very quiet and cool. The room is in a village called Livadi very close to Chora and just right next to the beach! The restaurant next to the rooms is excellent too with delicious Greek and local food/products and very friendly staff.

    We stayed at superior apartment #1. Comfortable and super spacious apartment, very clean, great hosts , perfect location, minimal cozy and modern design, absolutely value for money! Transfer from/to the port was organized for us for free upon request.The rooms are only 15-20 minutes from Chora but still close to the beach and the famous Mple Limanaki bay. There are also a couple of restaurants and a bakery .The location is perfect ,not noisy at all ideal either for couples,families or friends. The hosts, Anna and her mother Tasia are very kind and always there and available to help or give us information and tips. Rooms were cleaned daily We wish we could go back one day! :)

    Beautiful location, by one of the best beaches in Astypalia. Perfect accommodation(Starfish), great views, spacious, clean, everything provided. Aleka and Ilias were amazing hosts, so friendly and always available to help. Breakfast by the beach is awesome. Overall, exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend and will hopefully come again.

    What a beautiful escape!! Kalderimi Residencies is perfectly located, a few minutes walk, close to Chora & Livadi beach.     The town is built on a very steep hillside, with most of the restaurants and bars at the top. In the summer there is a bus that runs from the beach to the top. If you come by ferry, check the sailing times, as most are middle of the night and the main port is not at Pera Gyalos. The roads leave a lot to be desired.

    Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea. If you are looking for a relaxed and peaceful stay, a gorgeous clean beach, low key cafes and restaurants (lots of fish dishes and seafood) it is THE perfect place to go. No noisy bikes / scooters. Perfect for couples (not much for children) wanting a stress free break. Car hire would be beneficial to get to the Chora (a 15 minute drive) and enjoy the excellent views, and sample the lovely food. But it is possible to do without a car, using the bus or the "Astybus" which will pick you up on request.

    Magical views, great food, good restaurants ( from 1/2$-$-$$) close to Livadi beach ( steep but walking distance) close to port . Cheap taxi service.5€ to get around.Astybus (electric small busses)picks you up where every you are ( cheap). Very friendly locals.

    Another cute Greek island.

    Another cute Greek island. I have been to 15+ Greek islands over 50 times in total. It is similar to many other Greek islands. Small, cute. The castle and the old town looks really lovely. We went in mid-August. Although the island had probably around 5000 visitors, because there are few restaurants and options, all places were packed. Most of my Greek friends consider Astypalaia as the best Greek island, however in my view it's fine, cute, but I wouldn't say it's more beautiful than many other Greek islands.
