United KingdomThe staff were absolutely the standout at this property! The property was absolutely perfect for our needs as a family of 4 (2 kids, 6 and 4), we had the junior suite with pool. It was modern, spacious, well equipped, clean. The place itself was perfectly located - a short walk into Chora, even for our small kids, and a short drive to Lavadi (you can walk in approx 10 mins, but we didn’t dare as the walk back with kids is quite steep and we had a car, so opted to take it each time). The main pool area is stunning, as is the restaurant and the breakfast is SUPPERB! We also ate in the restaurant for dinner twice and found it to be the best on the island (we enjoyed the Italian for a change to Greek food). However, the cherry on the top for us with this place was every single staff member. A very special shout out to Leo and Irine, who could not have done more for us, they went out of their way to ensure we had an incredible experience and were left needing nothing. They also made our kids feel so special and our kids LOVED them both. Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a magical week we had as a family in Astypalia. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Getting picked up at 2am off the ferry and delivered to the airport was a real bonus. Renting a scooter and having I’d delivered to the villa.

United KingdomTotally perfect from all aspects. Elias and Ἑλένη make everything exact for your stay. The Pearl Suite is a large room with two huge terraces, with seating on both and views of Chora, the castle and out to sea.
Breakfast was amazing, freshly prepped by Ἑλένη everyday, home made bread, omelette, fresh fruit, baklava, cake and more, with fresh coffee and juice.
The room is clean and checked daily, and the pool area is always tidy.
Nothing is too much trouble for these amazing hosts, making it feel like home from home.

This is a well managed family property and just a five minute walk to the beach and several good local restaurants. We are two friends who travel together and as we usually share one room with twin beds it was a luxury to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen and lounge with spacious patios and a huge garden area to ourselves. There is a large swimming pool with lounge beds and a cafe area for breakfast. Breakfast was included and needs a special mention. Maroula and Pantelis who run the resort with family and locals are a delight. A young couple, they speak perfect English and were welcoming and hospitable from the start. Breakfast included, fresh juice, a variety of home made cheeses, jams, honey, cakes, specialty savoury pies and any kind of egg dish you want. We left the breakfast table everyday with plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt and extra savouries just in case we felt hungry!!

Lovely spotless room with dedicated and helpful staff. There is no breakfast included but we found home-baked cup cakes on our verandah table in the morning and had jam, juice and crackers in the room. The restaurant is excellent and well-known. People come from other parts of the island for lunch and dinner. The beach (pebbles) is very close and absolutely incredible!!! I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, by one of the best beaches in Astypalia. Perfect accommodation(Starfish), great views, spacious, clean, everything provided. Aleka and Ilias were amazing hosts, so friendly and always available to help. Breakfast by the beach is awesome. Overall, exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend and will hopefully come again.

Castellano Village is a magic place with a wonderful view over the bay. The owners are very kind and competent people who work with passion. We spent beautiful days in our apartment. Fantastic and varied selection at breakfast with different items offered each day in addition to the standard menu. Location was a 10 minute walk from the Chora and a 15 -20 minute walk to Livadi beach. Accommodation was quiet and peaceful.

The location with the view is incredible. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She helped us to transport our luggage on the first day. The room was well appointed and practical. The bathroom was very big. We will definitely come back.

The town is built on a very steep hillside, with most of the restaurants and bars at the top. In the summer there is a bus that runs from the beach to the top. If you come by ferry, check the sailing times, as most are middle of the night and the main port is not at Pera Gyalos. The roads leave a lot to be desired.

Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea.
If you are looking for a relaxed and peaceful stay, a gorgeous clean beach, low key cafes and restaurants (lots of fish dishes and seafood) it is THE perfect place to go. No noisy bikes / scooters. Perfect for couples (not much for children) wanting a stress free break.
Car hire would be beneficial to get to the Chora (a 15 minute drive) and enjoy the excellent views, and sample the lovely food. But it is possible to do without a car, using the bus or the "Astybus" which will pick you up on request.

Magical views, great food, good restaurants ( from 1/2$-$-$$) close to Livadi beach ( steep but walking distance) close to port . Cheap taxi service.5€ to get around.Astybus (electric small busses)picks you up where every you are ( cheap). Very friendly locals.

Another cute Greek island.
Another cute Greek island. I have been to 15+ Greek islands over 50 times in total. It is similar to many other Greek islands. Small, cute. The castle and the old town looks really lovely. We went in mid-August. Although the island had probably around 5000 visitors, because there are few restaurants and options, all places were packed. Most of my Greek friends consider Astypalaia as the best Greek island, however in my view it's fine, cute, but I wouldn't say it's more beautiful than many other Greek islands.
