On the banks of the River Thames, Marlow is a picturesque town, full of history and very interesting shops. Lots of places to eat. Unfortunately , I didn't stay long enough to really get to know Marlow.Guest review byHelenaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beaconsfield is a lovely small village which we enjoyed walking through with its own independent shops and restaurants. We then drove to Bourne End Marina which is the head of the River Thames and is stunning. Finally stopped at Marlow around lunchtime and was very impressed with this town, fab shops, restaurants and bars.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 2.0

The front desk was terrible and gave us a downgrade on our room and then told us there was nothing that could be done due to being sold out and because we used Bookings.com. We complained, asked for the manager and showed the pictures on a Superior room from their website and on our booking. He moved us to a family room, but it had 2 double beds and two chairs seating vs a Superior room has a king bed and a settee and a desk. It was not what we wanted, but it was better than the standard room with a king bed (incredibly small room) that they tried to put us in.Guest review byTrinaUnited States - 8.0
We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history.
We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history. There are some interesting and beautiful places to visit within easy reach: National Trust places to recommend are Hughenden Manor, Cliveden, and Greys Court. Other places are The Chiltern Hills, the Coombe Hill Monument, The Hell-Fire Caves and many more. The town has a good museum, and parks, and is not far from beautiful spots on the Thames such as Henley, Marlow, Maidenhead etc. And the walking around is on well-marked paths.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Quiet, quintessential Englishness to the town.
Quiet, quintessential Englishness to the town. Holds great memories for me as I grew up here. Historic and set in beautiful countryside and with easy access to the new town where there is a well laid out plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants and other services for you to explore and enjoy. If you enjoy a hike into the rural surroundings then there are plenty of options too.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The staff are a credit to the hotel they are polite, friendly and always their to offer any necessary assistance if needed. Also the food and drink on offer at the hotel was varied and delicious.Guest review byDamian - 10.0

We enjoyed immensely visiting the 3 National Trust properties Cliveden, Greys Court and Hughendon and made excellent use of the Accessible Chilterns website that provided detail of mobility scooters / trampers for hire at Ashridge Estate and Burnham BeechesGuest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel .
It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel . Excellent continental breakfast and the eggs were fresh from the owners chickens . Nice view into country side . Host Kim and Gary were very friendly and helpful . The only thing I would say is if you are tall be careful with your head on the side of the room as the walls slant up to the ceiling as it is a barn conversion . Just remember to duck your head 😊Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom
