A beautiful, welcoming hotel run by lovely people. We were given an "attic" room which was delightful. The linens and towels were fantastic, as were the details in the room (even down to the top-notch tea!). There are comfy seating areas on the ground floor for a spot of work or reading. Breakfast was beautifully served and delicious. One of the nicest small hotels we have stayed in - can't recommend it enough!

Was here to visit friends, but spent time on my own in the Black Horse, a friendly "locals" pub with a fantastic karaoke on a Friday night. Also the big Tesco is open till like Midnight and was good to pop into afterwards for some tablets I needed to travel

Glastonbury is my most magical happy place

Glastonbury is my most magical happy place I love to visit every single shop, I have twinkles woven into my hair by Teagan at Yin Yang Glastonbury, I have an aura reading with Claire at Aura Energetics at The Gauntlet and get yummy treats at the Organic shop and Burns the Bread. There are plenty of places to choose to eat, drink and be magical - and EVERYONE is so happy, kind and friendly ❤️

Unfortunately this visit was not for pleasure so didn’t do any sightseeing. However, we know the area is ideally situated for seeing both coast and countryside. The traffic in the town can get rather congested and thought some areas would flow better if there were traffic lights.

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.

I was only passing through and stayed one night just outside Wincanton. I only had time for a short walk round the town but found a lovely independent cafe/delicatessant, 'Clementina', comfortabe with a warm welcome. I had a lovely coffee and almond croissant to warm up, and while in conversation with the ?owner, she only charged for my coffee as a birthday treat!! This was a quiet Sunday morning in early December but would stop off again and be interested to see more of the town.
