- From US$264.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,438 reviewsEverything was perfect, it was the quintessential B&B to stay in a very British place surrounded with gorgeous forest. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and cozy. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and soap made by a local company and really nice quality. The food was really good and their breakfast menu had all the options that you would wish for. Their yogurt was fantastic too. Thank you so much for the love and care you put into this establishment. I could see the other guests being very happy to be there and the locals coming in for their morning coffee. Beautiful decorated, worthy of a magazine spread on gorgeous English design. I can’t wait to come back to England and stay here again.Guest review byOmarPortugal

The service and approach to guests is very professional, and very warm and welcoming. Variety of breakfasts and dinners, very tasty, in a variety of hotel restaurants The place is located in the heart of the forest, which gives a very special feeling of connection to nature, peace and quiet, a very comfortable and well-organized pool on the hotel grounds, the surrounding gardens are very well-kept and allow for enjoyable walking tours. A very special experience of staying in a castle from the last century that is maintained and managed to perfection, We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights in totalGuest review byNitzanIsrael

My partner and I stayed only one night at the hotel during our England bike tour, but we would gladly have stayed longer. The team let us store our bikes in the garden shed. It felt great to know our main means of transport would be safe for the night :) It was also brilliant to have a bathtub in the bathroom!Guest review byCamilleFrance

We were disappointed that the pier ferry wasn't working but the pier and the train were very interesting - lots of plaques on the pier with interesting information and lots of inscriptions on the planks on the pier. The town was very nice - a surprising number of different shops in such a small area. The town centre and pier within very easy walking distance from the Boathouse hotel. Good meals served there with a good selection at reasonable prices.Guest review byMonicaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A quiet small village with friendly people.
A quiet small village with friendly people. Good to use as a base. Easy drive to the forest, Brockenhurst, Burly, Lyndhurst and Milford On Sea etc. Great breakfast at the Sway Deli. There's two pubs to choose from and there's the lovely Manor Hotel if you fancy a posh meal.Guest review byPoonamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Lodge was beautifully appointed, spacious & decorated very tastefully. Extra large deck overlooking a wildlife lake with Duck & Swan food provided. Location was perfect to explore the New Forest and the facilities around the holiday village were awesome. Great communication from the lodge hosts & reasonably priced for such a lovely place to stay. Will definitely re-book when we return to England.Guest review byAlisonAustralia - 8.0

Very pretty location and easy access to New Forest but the Lodge we stayed in had no living area and a tiny Kitchen diner not really suitable for more than two although meant for four people. The Lodge was very clean with nice decor but just lacked the comfort as no where to sit other than bedroomsGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us. Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete. We certainly come back here! Don’t forget to visit Beaulieu, Lyndhurst and the beautiful Bucklers Hard. There is a nice pub and good food!Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Never got a chance to see the town of Lyndhurst and surrounding area We drove down from Warwickshire and it was just a stopgap and unpleasant rest place where we stayed, before we caught the ferry from Lymington to the isle of Wight. So sorry I cannot comment on the surrounding area.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom
