FAQs about hotels on Jersey
Beaches Worthy of the Mediterranean
In the English Channel, just off the Normandy coast, Jersey has wonderful beaches that wouldn’t look out of place in the Mediterranean. The largest Channel Island, it is a UK dependency, but has a distinctly Gallic feel and a dialect closer to French than English.
Home to the largest concentration of Jersey hotels, St Helier - the capital - is centred on a harbour protected by 16th-century Elizabeth Castle, an offshore fort beautifully lit at night. Gorey also has fantastic Mont Orgueil castle, which dominates the multi-coloured façades and fishing boats below.
Trinity in the north has one of the Jersey hotels on the beach and a wildlife park. Speaking of animals, in fields nearby and all over the island are fine examples of the brown Jersey cow that originated here.
Grève de Lecq has a beautiful curved beach, while the longest beach runs along the west coast from the St Ouen to St Brelade regions. In between is St Peter, site of Jersey Airport, while the war tunnels in neighbouring St Lawrence are now a museum and one of the most popular Jersey attractions.
Whichever choice you make from the range of apartments, guest houses and hotels in Jersey on Booking.com, it’s comforting to know that you are staying on a Fairtrade Island.

The housekeeping staff are courteous, friendly and do an immaculate job. There was plenty of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, sugar and water in the room, which were replenished daily. A good supply of toiletries and towels, bath robes and slippers also provided. The Christmas Day dinner was excellent - an amazing choice of courses all beautifully presented. Charming and attentive waiting staff.Guest review byJosephineSpain

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 705 reviewsA hotel with plenty of individualistic charm. This is coupled with very pleasant and helpful staff. I rate this as one of the nicest mini- holidays I have ever had. The hotel is privately owned, and the big name hotels being corporately owned can never compete against the personal stamp a private owner can put on a place. Thank you Westhill for a lovely time!Guest review byTorvaldSweden

St Helier is good as a base to visit the rest of Jersey. We enjoyed the Howard Davis Park, La Fregate cafe, Maritime Museum & Occupation Tapestry, the Lamplighter pub and Le Petit Train journey to St Brelade and back.Guest review byMatthew & JoUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The area of St Clements is lovely, great sandy beaches with free parking and clean public conveniences, and a few lovely pubs to eat at. Small supermarkets (Morrisons and Co-op) are also around and are open late. Easy access to the rest of the island without going through St Helier, if driving, and frequent buses to St Helier or Grouville.Guest review byVannnieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We had the castle behind us and the harbour in front of us which we were able to see from our room. The castle was worth a visit and the harbour and sea coming in and out was pleasant to view with a glass in your hand. Easy access to all over the island,we like history so were able to see the war tunnels and museum. I think we were staying in the right place, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital and other busy places.Guest review bySheilaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
What an absolute hidden gem of a place!
What an absolute hidden gem of a place! Plenty of quality walks from that location. It is quite quiet though so if you want somewhere 'vibrant' then you would be better off in St Helier but if you want quality and a quieter stay then this is the place for you.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Jersey is not very big, but all the parishes have something to offer. St Saviour is on the East side of the island and close to St Helier town centre. Several good hotels and eating places. There is a Howard Davis Park, the War Tunnels, St Saviours Church, and the Hotel de Normandie has an Ayurvedic Spa, has several schools/colleges, and its famous people like Lillie Langtry (1853–1929), British-American socialite, actress and producer from St Saviour.Guest review byMulholland - 10.0
There is a huge and lovely beach here.
There is a huge and lovely beach here. The area is good for swimming/surfing and it is not too busy. There are lifeguards on a southern section of the beach. We spent a week on Jersey but we could easily have enjoyed a couple of weeks as, beyond the beach itself, there is miles of easily accessible coastline to walk and explore.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Great place to stay, picturesque, quaint, very 'chocolate box'. Fab if you like that sort of thing, I guess. It is a little off the beaten track but again, that's probably a plus. Not much choice for eating and what is there, apart from the 'Hungry Man' cafe, is not cheap. Could do with a general stores perhaps?Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lots to learn with local museums providing excellent stories. We particularly enjoyed the Jersey museum (on the doorstep) and the maritime museum ( 5 minute walk). Jersey Zoo was really good. St Helier is bursting with dining venues, many with live evening music. A bit on the expensive side but what do you expect on holiday.Guest review byTrishUnited Kingdom
