Staff were friendly and efficient - the room decor was attractive and the room compact but comfortable- we particularly loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom- the service at dinner was attentive but unobtrusive and the food delicious - they had a wide ranging menu and the breakfast was very good- We stayed one night but would happily use this as a base in the future to further explore Fife

    The local people are very friendly and helpful. A must are visits to the Abbey and Palace, Pittencrieff park and Andrew Carnagie museum. Jack O Bryan's restaurant, excellent Scottish dishes. Dunfermline is the perfect area from which to be based and explore the Fife coast, Perth ,Kinross, Stirling and the Trossachs. Local train station and coach tours. Golf too.

    I love this small town and whilst it is only 90 minutes from my home, I like to stay for a few days. it is quiet but has lively restaurants, pubs and shops. The beaches are beautiful with excellent coastal walks. Everywhere is dog friendly and my golden retriever had snacks given to her everywhere we visited.

    Leven is on the train line now, about an hour from Edinburgh. It's a bit of a one-horse town with only 1 restaurant open after 8pm, apart from a 60s style steak-house. If you're vegetarian, vegan, or lactose intolerant you're going to have problems eating in the evening.

    My family and I had a fantastic stay in Inverkeithing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Edinburgh without the hustle and bustle of staying directly in the city. What really sets Inverkeithing apart is its unbeatable location – just a short walk from the railway station, which has frequent and reliable trains to Edinburgh city centre.
