Booked this hotel last minute because our flight was canceled at the last moment. London was too far to go back to because we had an early flight in the morning again. Wanted to end the nice weekend with a nice hotel. And that it was indeed! Beautiful surroundings, beautiful hotel. Would never of thought of it - used to staying in London - but this is definitely something to keep in mind for the next visit. Beautiful rooms, good service.

Why I so often choose to stay in Reading on what are usually visits to London, is that Reading has excellent long-distance railway connections, and excellent connections into London via the new Elizabeth line - the trains from Reading running right through the centre and out to Abbey Wood. Accommodation is readily found in Reading, and the local bus service around Reading itself is superb, running 24hoursper day every day.

The area has some nice green spaces within easy walking distance which we enjoyed. Local restaurants were good, service excellent. We enjoyed our meals out very much. Although we didn’t use local transit this time, the area is well served and access to other areas looked relatively easy. Other amenities we didn’t use but appreciated were close by such as shopping and groceries . In summary we found Slough to be a pleasant and unexpected surprise, we would visit again😀

I love bracknell because of its lovely shopping centre. The fact that it's quiet and peaceful. It's close to Ascot which is a place I love. It's a train ride away from the heart of london, in less than an hour you're there. There are some lovely park there. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

It would have been helpful for the restaurant to have sent the account to reception for checkout. We asked if there was anything left to pay and were told it was settled via booking.com. Perhaps if we had been asked for a credit card at check-in rather then we would not have been chased for payment of the meal some days later. Despite this - the food and hotel stay were great
