- From US$189.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 462 reviewsIt had been a lovely experience staying at this charming hotel for the New Year's Eve weekend. The rooms are really cozy, well-equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. The location was also great as there several castles around you can visit within 30 minutes drive. The breakfast buffet was complete and delicious. The 2 restaurants inside offered very good food. The gastronomic menu we had for the NYE dinner was such a great experience! Everything on the menu was delectable! The staff are really helpful, thoughtful, nice and friendly. Highly recommended indeed!Guest review byJanizeFrance
- From US$152.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 793 reviewsThe Hotel is conveniently located în the heart of Cheverny, and the surroundigs, including the small and beatifull Church near by, are marvellous. The petit dejeuner was a normal one for a 4 star Hotel ( do not forget to ask for an expresso, as only Black Coffee is served at the table- but because this is the French style). Lovely and eager to come back.Guest review byRadubzaBelgium
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 24 reviewsOne of my favourite hotels anywhere in the world. Such personal, kind service and so welcoming. The bathroom facilities and lack of iron and ironing board were bizarre in such a lovely hotel but it wasn't a huge inconvenience as we only stayed one night. Dinner, as ever, was mindblowingly good. One of the best restaurants in France.Guest review byAlex XUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$171.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 688 reviewsTwo lovely adjoining rooms for us and the grandchildren and three dogs. We were worried that we would have to pay 47 euro for the kids for dinner, but they cleverly have an under 12 and 12 to 17 option, plus a menu of the day for us at 34 euro. Wine is pricey! We will be back.Guest review byMarionUnited Kingdom

I was surprised at the rugged/natural appearance of the Loire. The historical ambience of Blois; the gardens;the castle;the views, the shopping; altogether a very good experience and everything easily accessible from The Beelodge Hotel which I recommend.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Saint Aignan is a quaint town on the river Cher.
Saint Aignan is a quaint town on the river Cher. There are lots of restaurants , shops in the town and a few bars. You need a car to get around . You can drive to places like Blois ,Tours & Montrichard for days out and visit many of the areas Chateaus. Free parking is available in all of the towns. Just put " free parking" into your google maps before you enter the town centre. Chateau Chenonceau is a must see and in my opinion the best in the area. It is worth paying the extra euros for the Chateau Chenonceau audio tour as it provides a room by room (there are 19 in total) tour ,great narration and additional, interesting information that isn't available in the free map/ brochure . In Saint Aignan ,we ate at Hestia, Venchi, Trois Chemins & La Relais. All good value and good food.Guest review byOlaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We enjoyed our visit at the B&B.
We enjoyed our visit at the B&B. Our host, Catherine, was warm, welcoming and made us feel at home. Catherine was willing to make a home made French dinner the night we arrived but we arrived too late (let Catherine know in advance your arrival time so you can partake in the home made dinner). The B&B was in a quiet neighborhood and a short, easy drive to several chateaus in the area. There were many good restaurants in the area but make reservations in advance. We didn't, but Catherine found a restaurant with availability and we were able to have a very good, authentic French meal. Our room was the entire top floor of Catherine's home, it included a nice bedroom and a setting room with a TV. The home was nicely decorated with lots of art and whimsy. Note, the stairs to the upper floor were narrow and unprotected, they weren't a problem for us but I can see where elderly or handicapped may have an issue.Guest review byTomUnited States - 10.0

Lovely little town/village. 3/4 nice restaurants especially creperie. Very quiet, felt very safe walking around. Chocolate shop/museum excellent but pricey but Chocolate worth it. Has an express carrefour plus boulangerie and meat/charcuterie shop.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Montrichard has several restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Nice walks along the river Cher. Just don't arrive on a Sunday afternoon, everything is shut. There are 2 Caves for wine tasting in the town. Amboise is a nice place to visit close by as are the Chateaux of the Loire valley. Chenonceaux is worth a visit.Guest review byBrian PUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Chaumont was once an active fishing port so you can still see the original fishing boats on the river. The village is charming. Every building is original and well preserved. The outside bar by the river is great but the village does lack another good bar/cafe. Also, if you don't want pizza or a galette, there is only one other restaurant. However, this restaurant, La Madelaine de Proust is EXCELLENT. Not only is it the best restaurant in the village, but also the best restaurant for miles around. Book now before it gets Michelin stars and the prices go up. The Chateau and its famous garden is well worth visiting but allow yourself a full day. Fortunately, the food in the cafes there is very good.Guest review byANDREWFrance - 10.0

Blois is a very old historic city with a Royal Chateau and a House of Magic. Very good for families with children. There are many other Castles and a Zoo nearby. All in All, it seemed to be a family oriented, international vacation destination. It was hard to keep up with all the languages we heard !Guest review byBarryepsteinUnited States - 10.0

An interesting town, at least in the older central area around the church (or cathedral). Seemed full of life with interesting shops and restaurants. Also a wide selection of local wines on sale. We only stayed a single night on our way further south, and would certainly come here again next time we travel this way.Guest review byRobinUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Did not get to stay at the Hotel Vendome.
Did not get to stay at the Hotel Vendome. The hotel was locked, no contact possible because we had no internet until we arrived at the hotel and they were not open. Did not have an access code because we needed internet contact and the hotel was not open. As a traveler, we only have internet when at the hotel location. Of course we were billed but the hotel access was not possible. Not happy with either Hotel Vendome or booking, com. They do not have a procedure to deal with a situation where the hotel is not available.Guest review byGeraldUnited States
