FAQs about hotels on Tenerife
Fun and Sun All Year Round
The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife has sun, sand and sangria all year round. Its landscape is dominated by volcanic Mount Teide, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose peak is covered by snow. There are fabulous views over Tenerife and the surrounding islands from the cable car that takes you up.
However, most visitors flock to the island for its beaches. The most exclusive area is Costa Adeje, home to most 5-star hotels in Tenerife. It also houses Aqualand waterpark with waterslides, pools and a dolphinarium, while next door Playa de las Americas boasts Siam Park – Europe’s largest waterpark.
This resort is the island’s party capital and features a large number of Tenerife hotels with swimming pools, and a wealth of bars and restaurants. Adjoining Los Cristianos also has a long, sandy beach.
The southern Tenerife beaches are actually artificial, made from white sand imported from the Sahara Desert, because the natural ones are black sand. Tenerife resorts with just such a beach include Puerto de la Cruz and Los Gigantes, which is dramatically sheltered by sheer cliffs.
The capital – Santa Cruz – is the arrival point for ferries from the other Canaries and has a huge, annual carnival. Wherever you decide to stay, check out the Tenerife hotel deals on Booking.com.

- From US$366.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 319 reviewsMy fiancé and I stayed here in late December for the first time. It was a brilliant place to stay - the rooms were to a high standard and very modern, and the overall grounds and facilities were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again The buffet breakfast each morning was also excellent and a huge selection was on offer. Not sure how anyone could be disappointed with it. The location is brilliant. We heard no noise any night we stayed here, and yet we were only a few minutes away from bars and restaurants Also for anyone thinking of traveling - The number 40 bus from Tenerife South Airport goes every 30 minutes and drops you at “Columbus” station which is five minutes walk away. The fare is €3, you can pay by contactless, and this is a huge cost saving compared to taxi (€40+)Guest review byDarraghIreland
- From US$509.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 303 reviewsThe layout and style of the hotel are amazing. The views over the mountains and the sea are also amazing. The staff are helpful and friendly and are willing to go to every effort to help assist you with any queries you have. The restaurant and bar facilities are perfect for those evenings you just want to chill at the hotel. The pool is again perfect if you fancy a luzy day of chilling. It is a bit of a walk to the town, and there is a hill whichever way you go, but its worth it as the location is peaceful and quite, but still only 20 mins walk to the strip.Guest review byMichaelJersey

It's perfect for city tourism—it's pleasant and interesting to stroll around, and the architecture is beautiful. There are plenty of good restaurants with excellent food; we didn't have time to visit everything we wanted in a week. The downside is the many ups and downs, which can be a problem for those with limited mobility. I definitely recommend spending one day visiting Loro Parque.Guest review byKatrin OstBelarus - 8.0

It's an okay beach, there is definitely more space in low season. Part of the beach has rocks on the beach and in the water, but the other part is much better. Also, there are much better beaches near by.Guest review bySerhii YukhnevychNetherlands - 10.0

Santa Cruz de Tenerife doesn’t have much of nightlife, almost everything was closed at 21:30-22:00 and there were no people outside either we were on the center of the town or near the plaza. BUT, The island in general is worth it. If you can get outside and go see other towns - villages, it is definitely worth it and be prepared for breathtaking sights, views and amazing monuments. There are a lot sightseeings worth visiting, but Santa Cruz de Tenerife on its own is just not worth it that much (and the parking there is literally impossible)Guest review bykostastsoukkGreece - 10.0

A pleasant area with good views and a lovely walk along the promenade We did a full day trip to the mountains in the centre of the island and up to the north coast. There were several good places to eat. Our favourite was Charly's just round the corner with good food and very good entertainment. It is pretty flat around the resort. The main walking areas are on the flat.Guest review byLinda VoceUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Situated in Golf Del Sur - it's pretty much an ex-pat community comprised mainly of the British. If you want nightlife, then this isn't the place for you. There are quite a few bars and restaurants around the place, but better to take a stroll down to San Blas or Los Abrigos for more options. It's one junction down from the airport, so if you don't like aircraft noise, then again, this isn't for you. It's peaceful, usually quite windy, which is good when it's hot!Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Puerto de Santiago is a very lovely and quiet town, perfect for those who prefer peaceful places over busy tourist spots. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay – shops, cafés, and all the essential amenities. I especially recommend Café Am Eck – a wonderful place with great atmosphere and delicious food. The Playa de la Arena beach is beautiful and well-maintained. Puerto de Santiago is located on the western coast of Tenerife, and that’s part of its magic – you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets as the sun slowly disappears into the ocean, with a stunning view of La Gomera island on the horizon.Guest review byLIUDMYLAUkraine - 10.0
The city consists of three parts.
The city consists of three parts. The historic part with beautiful and charming streets. The villa part with beautiful gardens, trees, houses, and the part where people live tightly and where the most is happening. Lots of street culture, lots of cultural attractions. Lots of opportunities for good food.Guest review byDariuszPoland - 8.0

As my husband is not very mobile, El Medano is ideal as it is mainly flat and easy to walk. There is a wooden boardwalk along the sea front. Restaurants, shops a large square and a childrens' play area are all within easy reach.Guest review byBrianUnited Kingdom - 8.0
