- From US$1,389.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 253 reviewsWe had an unforgettable stay at Abadía Retuerta. The staff were exceptionally friendly—special thanks to Juan Carlos and Álvaro for the way they received us, the staff at the Vinoteca, for their great recommendations and food. In general, everyone made us feel very welcome since day one. Our dog was very well accepted, and he was able to dine with us on the terrace of the Vinoteca The wines were excellent, and the wine tour with Francisco was insightful and engaging. Definitely a must-do. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the team went above and beyond by upgrading us to the Master Suite, a gesture that truly made our stay memorable. The suite was incredible, and their attention to detail made us feel so special. The pool was relaxing, and all the amenities were spotless. In summary, this is truly a top-tier hotel that will stay in our hearts forever. Abadía Retuerta delivered not just a stay but an experience we will always cherish.Guest review byMiguelLuxembourg

The choice on the menu in the restaurant is limited but I understand why as it is all fresh but the accompaniments are few, vegetables are few and usually only peppers. A better selection would be goodGuest review byChurch - 10.0

The city is very small but has an impressive castle nested in the nearby hill A good starting point could be walking this hill up as parking facilities closer to the castle entrance could get jammed. The historic city centre has one or two nice "cervezarias" where you could mingle with local people and have a beer with bocadillos. Alongside N-122 which is the local road that passes trough the city you will find several wineyardsGuest review byPaulo OctavioBrazil - 8.0

Loved the bar and restaurant across the road. Great service and good food and drinks. It offers bodega tours - shame we didn’t have time to join one. There’s also a spa, which I’d have loved to have tried.Guest review by95United Kingdom - 10.0

It is a small town with the opportunity to know the locals, every afternoon we visit Bar Tope at the Plaza Mayor to hangout like the local people. Need to have a rental car to move around but is closer to most of the vineyards of the area. Reserve ahead for restaurants around and dont miss the opportunity to visit a castle on Curiel del Duero,Guest review byJosePuerto Rico - 10.0

Working old building. Similar to a Parador but better price. Very quiet and full of character. Accessibility room and shower great. Large room with heating and Aircon. Very clean. Small cafe on site serving wine and food. We had lunch menu of day that was very good at about 17 euro with wine. Beds very comfortable and good size towels. Secure overnight parking.Guest review byNevilleUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Very handy for stop off from/to ferry at Bilbao just off motorway and easy to find. Take advantage of the cena (dinner) ticket from hotel to use in restaurant opposite - great value for money and the helpings were big and very good! Didn’t stay for breakfast so unable to comment but I would imagine they’re good!Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Aranda is much bigger than I anticipated.
Aranda is much bigger than I anticipated. It has a compact but interesting “/centro historico” without the usual array of old churches, but instead some very interesting shop fronts and buildings. Few chain stores but mainly all locally owned businesses, which appears to be thriving as few empty shops. Not many formal restuarants, and they don’t open until 8pm, ( try the lamb cutlets, a local specialty, plus the Ribera del duero wine) but lots of atmospheric tapas bars with a good choice, at prices much lower than the Costas. Great truly spainish ambience, no tourist menus. If you want real Spain, but not a dusty deserted pueblo, come here.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Approaching from the main road, it looks like just a small cluster of houses, with the Monastery ahead. There is a little community that support the field work in surrounding vineyards. A winery and attached restaurant is well supported, especially at weekends, so book in advance. The Monastery itself is beautiful and full of amazing architecture, A guided tour is held twice a day, sadly only in Spanish but English speakers are given a printed leaflet. River running through the village is pretty. Large dark skies and peace abound.Guest review byJuliet StrattonUnited Kingdom
