We couldn’t get booked in the main town and by chance came across this little Oasis in the middle of a small quiet town. The property is beautiful and we were met by Sylvia the enthusiastic daughter of the owner. She was so nice to deal with. The property was very well presented and had a beautiful heated pool. We did worry that we may have difficulty getting food in this small town but were pleasantly surprised by a small local bar that was extremely well kept and the friendly staff served us a very simple but well prepared tasty meal. If I was to return again I would not miss this beautiful property and the owners 😀

The old town was well worth the visit and there was a lot to see, especially the town hall and all the lovely columns and side of the shops so you could walk in the cool. They have an architecture was beautiful. Go and visit the castle 30 mind outside of the town and the Roman Villa it was large and amazing. It is under cover and they give you the whole story which was excellent and well worth the visit.

Everything was good for an overnight stay on approaching Santander ferry when using an am sailing. The breakfast included was an item of extra value. Car park worth choosing, but be aware only accessible from outside the hotel. They should provide a method of accessing a secure car park from inside the hotel. The door is locked, and staff would not enable access from the hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly and helpful. It is a modern, clean and well decorated place . There is a relaxed atmosphere, a well run bar, with places to sit inside and outside. The private rooms are lovely, I stayed there before. I am not a fan of the box like bunk beds with only the dnd open (miste of them), it feels claustrophobic. The dinner is lovely and everyone chats. You will meet lots of other pelgrims at dinner.

We loved the place.

We loved the place. It has a good price, the suite room is beautiful, having a window to look at the stars from the bed and a great hydromassage jacuzzi. The bed is comfortable, the place is quiet and the staff is very kind and attentive. It's easy to get there by car (not too far from the entrance when you enter the village) and close to Palencia and Burgos if you want to see different things around. We would definitely book again.

It’s a small village just off the main Auto route about 5 minutes Only about 20 people live in the village so it’s very quiet and relaxing as the accommodation is No restaurant in the village but Agiar De Campo heading south has restaurants. We ate in Hotel Valentin in the centre about 8/10 minutes drive going South towards Palencia direction. Set menu 15 euros choice of starters mains and desserts plus bottle of wine water coffee. Not Michelin but rustic tasty Spanish food. We enjoyed it

I went to Carrion de los Condes because my ancestors came from there so I went to see it and though it's small, it's lively - I was the first of my family to return there after 300 years and went to the church where many of them got married but despite all that. It is a lively little town with a good number of eateries, a nice looking park and places to drink. The town surprised me to be honest, I was expecting to get there and there would be just one man with a donkey sat on a park bench looking into the mountain, it's nothing like that at all - well worth visiting.
