Distinctive local cheeses, wines, biscuits, and palm honey help to produce local dishes such as Almogrote, Gomerón and Mistela accompanied with roasted pork, fresh seafood or goat meat. Perfectly located, 5min from Charco del Conde beach and 5min from La Puntilla beach. Bars and shops within walking distance. 15min walk from Valle del Rey ferry terminal. The road to the main walking areas in Garajonay is very good, and there are buses connecting with the rest of the island stopping just a few metres away. The apartments were clean and well maintained. Decor may look a bit dated, but it is well cared for and all you need for a comfortable stay. Great for walking around and getting good views. A viewpoint near the parador is worth the uphill walk. Also good to explore the beach and viewpoint near the port. Lovely little village out of the way! 25min drive down from the main road with spectacular views on the way down! Not a lot in the village but a small beach but if you want tranquility it's perfect! The scenery is outstandingly breath taking. The ride into the area and leaving is awesome. there are some nice places to eat and mini market shops . If you want nightlife and action, this is not the place for you. A gentle sea side location with enough restaurants to keep you entertained in the food department. Beach is black sand and pebble. Gentle shallow water. There are shops to buyy provisions (at least 2 supermarkets) and a post office but not much else in terms of shops.
