FAQs about hotels on Fuerteventura
Ride its Warm Wave
With streches of long, sandy beaches and a great setting for watersports, Fuerteventura has established itself as a year-round beach holiday destination.
Set across the Atlantic from Lobos Island and Lanzarote beyond, Corralejo is one of the most popular Fuerteventura resorts. Its long sand dunes are favoured by families, while offshore the waves are great for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Surfing is also great here and at El Cotillo, a fishing village around the coast.
Although Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest of the Canary Islands, its landscape is largely unspoilt, meaning that you will find most Fuerteventura hotels by the beach. But the inland towns of La Oliva and Betancuria with traditional windmills set amid undulating, volcanic scenery offer pleasant sights away from the beach. The island’s highest point is Mount Jandia, in its own natural park in the south.
At its feet is the long beach connecting Morro Jable and Jandia, while to the north Costa Calma is a relaxed resort that certainly lives up to its name. Just south of El Mattoral Airport are Costa de Antigua and Costa Caleta de Fuste, home to a castle and a good number of 5-star Fuerteventura hotels on Booking.com. On the opposite side of the airport is the capital Puerto del Rosario, starting point for ferries to the other Canaries.

- From US$331.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,070 reviewsWe had spent the previous week in occidental Jandía playa. Tui magic was a breath of fresh air from the moment we arrived early in reception. The receptionist Mary Anne was so friendly, smiling and happy. We noticed this with all the staff on site, they were clearly just happy going about their daily work routine which made the stay just happier and upbeat. The gentleman on the bar over night went way above and beyond to get us gluten free food at 2am! And being completely calm with rowdy drunk customers in the early hours, he is a very hard worker, he didn’t stop the entire night! The 2 women on the bar in the morning deserve medals for the amount of piña coladas they mixed and poured me to drink! They will remember who I am from this comment alone 😂 I thank them all and we did put all of our change into the staff tip box on the reception as a thank you. Food was amazing, well labeled for allergens and not once did I end up glutened from badly labeled food as what had happened several times in the occidental. The hotel was the cleanest I’ve ever been to and the upkeep by the gardeners was lovely to see, they really look after the hotel and grounds well. We will most certainly be back!, soon no doubt 🙂Guest review byWayneUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsIt was in many ways the perfect combination of a hotel and a villa. You had your own private pool and hot tub, and a huge, largely private rooftop space for dining or sunbathing - and your own kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine and dining area - yet with the facilities of a hotel when you wanted them. I would get sick of eating catered food three times a day - so you can simply walk to the local large shop and restock your fridge. We loved it. It was immensely relaxing.Guest review byRoderickUnited Kingdom

Always saying Hola and remembering our names. Also pool area was very relaxing and clean. Good choice of food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Tea and coffee and drinks available all day at pool bar. Very close to the wonderful beach in morro jable and a short walk to the old town.. Plenty of shops and restaurants, bars along the main strip not far from the hotel.Guest review byJosephIreland

WE USUALLY VISIT CALETA DE FUSTE AND THOUGHT WE WOULD TRY CORRALEJO THIS YEAR THIS PART OF FUERTAVENTURA IS VIBRANT AND FULL OF THINGS TO DO AND SEE. THERE ARE A HUGE SELECTION OF FANTASTIC PLACES TO EAT AND SPEND YOUR EVENINGS ENJOYING THE COASTAL VIEWS. I WOULD SAY THAT IT IS A YOUNGER FEEL COMPARED TO CALETA AND IS PERFECT FOR COUPLES AND FAMILIES/GROUPS. MUSIC SQUARE WAS A BIT BUSY FOR US BUT WE DID GO TO LA TAHONA WHERE WE ENJOYED THE BEST STEAK DINNER BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND BOOKING AS THEY ARE ALWAYS BUSY. THE RE ARE GREAT BARS AND EATERIES AROUND THE HARBOUR AREA WE LOVED THE BARACUDA BAR AND ENJOYED WATCHING THE SUNSET WITH A COCKTAIL.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

During a vacation in Fuerteventura, the Jandia Peninsula and Morro Jable are worth a visit. The beaches are golden and the water turquoise. There are beautiful excursions available, both by sea (catamaran, dolphins) and by land (Cofete). Unfortunately, the strong winds and the downburst from the hills made spending time on the beach unpleasant, especially in the afternoon.Guest review byAngeloItaly - 8.0

Have been maybe 7 times, do love the area, mainly the breeze of the island as it keeps you cool, easy to get a taxi, from the airport as its maybe 15 - 20 minute transfer, 14 euro. Beach party lovely atmosphere and great entertainment. People have always been friendly, I would swerve the market, really not worth the effort or value for money, Entertainment everywhere,Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Nice city with some outstanding must-to-eat places (e.g. Restaurante Al Fresco, Restaurante Arena or El Bar de Marco). 4 days is enough to enjoy the city + visit the Oasis Park (whole day trip) when travelling with kids. Last one - once there, visit - Café de Fuerteventura - the best coffee in Costa Calma!Guest review byMichalPoland - 10.0

This beach is absolutely stunning—wide, long, and covered in soft, golden sand. It’s ideal for long walks, jogging, or even a refreshing run along the shore. The sand is firm enough in some areas to make running comfortable, while the open space allows for uninterrupted movement. The crystal-clear water and the clean, well-maintained environment make it a pleasure to spend time here. It’s never overcrowded, so you can fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The fact that it has been awarded the Blue Flag for 2024/25 speaks to its quality and cleanliness. Whether you want to relax, take in the views, or stay active, this beach offers the perfect setting. Highly recommended!Guest review byIvkaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Nice, busy, authentically Canarian town. Not a resort.
Nice, busy, authentically Canarian town. Not a resort. There are ( apart from days when cruise ships come in ) few non-Spanish voices to be heard. A real place, which has little of the artificiality of resorts. As such, it would not appeal to everyone. Great shopping and lots of good restaurants. There is a large shopping mall with good shops in it. A bit hilly, however. The front is interesting and enjoyable to walk along. And everyone is friendly!Guest review byry95United Kingdom - 8.0

Ideal place for some warmth and sun and a good place to relax. Close to Caleta de fuste if you want to find a few more things to do such as beach, marina, shops and restuarants. Would probably suit more mature people than younger folk as there is not much to do in the actaul resort other than eat and drink, however Caleta de fuste is only a 5 minute drive away or 25 minute slow walk and that area offers more for families and younger couples/singles.Guest review byAdrianUnited Kingdom - 10.0
El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting...
El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting for 18 years now. It is not full of karaoke bars and English pubs as we like to experience the local culture. There are many restaurants to try out and all of good quality and reasonable prices. The locals do appreciate if you attempt to speak their language which we always do as I think it is a respectful thing to do. My only concern for this amazing village is the number of new apartments they are now building and whether the charms of the village will be overtaken by large scale tourism.Guest review byALISONUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is a lovely little traditional village.
It is a lovely little traditional village. A lot of the restaurants are closed on Sundays and Mondays which was a bit of a pain but only because there were so many to experience! It is well situated, near beaches but you do need a car.Guest review byHollieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
